Opioids accidentally took tramadol found it to be slightly psychedelic?

So my friend brought some tar over (I indulge verrrrry occasionally) and we smoke the lot of it but when I found that we were about to run out I wanted to lengthen the effect by popping some generic cimetidine as it seems to work pretty well for me, placebo or not. Anyway I began to feel a slightly speedy but intensified opiate euphoria and realized that I had taken something else. I remembered that a friend gave me a few trammys awhile back to try and I had forgotten about them and foolishly put them in the same bottle as the cimetidine. Whats even more foolish is that the generic acid reflux pills look nearly identical to these trammys.

Either way , I felt slightly uncomfortable do to the foreign effects and the fact that I had never tried tramadol before. I am aware of their seratonergic effect but Im almost positive that this was not placebo due to the fact that I was unaware of tramadols presence in my body initially. I noticed a stimulating effect, sharpening of my vision, and a saturating and brightening of colors not unlike a low dose of LSD. There was some anxiety and paranoia and racing thoughts not unlike some psychedelic experiences that Ive had as well. Can anyone relate to this? HAs anyone found tramadol to be slightly or perhaps even heavily psychedelic. I believe the dosage I took was 100 mg bc I took two pills and I believe that they were 50mg each. Im wondering if there was a cross potentiation effect with the diacetylmorphine that was smoked prior. Thanks for any insight.

Are u talking.about generic tagamet? Does it have a differemt name. What did u buy, I mean the active chemical. I am only aware of brand.tagamet.
 
Its generic "equate" brand cimetidine , got it at walmart. I received a few tramadol...oval shaped just like the generic tagament and put them in the same bottle like a dumbass....I was always weary of tramadol as I do know one person who got serotonin syndrome from abusing them. It kinda put me off to trying them so I forgot I even had them.
 
and I ended up poppin two of the fuckers.....becuause both were absent from the bottle and I know I put to in there initially...they must have been chillin on top of the tagament pills
 
Yep indeed. It's only very slightly though. Like the world is somehow a tiny tiny bit different than before. In my case the world gets a slight yellow-brownish tint to it, barely noticeable but it's there. Sounds are a bit warped, like they originate from a bit farther away than they actually are. And time seems to slow down slightly

This does not increase with dose however so I think it is useless to further explore this, it stays about the same right up to 500mg. Tried tramadol a few times, because for me it does have some effects. I have absolutely 0 tolerance to opiates as I simply do not use them. Went up to 400mg on a few occasions, up to 500-600mg once. Decided that it was alright but not worth the risk of seizure, considering I only got a decent buzz right on the seizure dose limit and only a heavy one 100-200mg above the seizure dose limit.I will not do such a dose again, tramadols effects seem to plateau around 400mg taken at once. 500-600mg does not seem to increase it much more, though you get a bit jittery around this dose, slight euphoria. Anyways that was months ago, don't think I'll touch that stuff again. The risk/reward ratio is a bit skewed

yes tramadol can have a very mild psychedelic feeling, in fact one of the side effects is hallucinations along with anxiety & racing thoughts.
my first time taken trams I took 2 & had a few hallucinations, nothing major just saw a few things out the corner of my eye.
although I've never had that happen again...

I take trams quite often & always feel like i've taken a mild stimulant & they seem to be stronger when you redose.
 
BlueBull, Yes exactly ...the world took on a yellow/green hue for me! and everything appeared WAYYYY saturated... I didn't really have like patterns or tracers (that I noticed) but it felt as if it woulg get to that point soon....like I took alow dose of lsd that never quite took off! But it did feel DIRTY as some would call it....I guess I could say it felt more phenethyamine like than tryptamine to me! Speedy/dirty .

Do you guys ever get OEV type phenemonea....patterning etc at high doses? Or is the "hallucinations" as a side effect the more dissociative/delirium type ?

For me the hallucinogenic compound doesn't increase as I increase my dose. But it seems Stoned Sour experiences this differently so who's to say what's possible. I couldn't tell what type of hallucinations they are, as they are very very very subtly, bit hard to tell...

Stoned Sour: Don't know if you chose that name because of the band, but if you did I congratulate you on having great taste in music =D I saw them perform live last summer, one of the best performances I've ever seen. Corey Taylor is a god
 
I get no effect from tramadol on its own absolutely no buzz whatever. But if I mix them with codeine it makes me buzz like fuck major euphoria and for a very long time at the weekend i took 300mg of each and I was pretty out of it but in a good way talkative relaxed a little sleepy and I was ahving a great time. I would not do that dose again. I was told after I took it it was a high dose of each combined by some blue lighters.But I enjoyed it so much I might try 200mg of each and see if its any good.I did not drink any alcohol with it but woke up with a massive hangover.

No I don't find that increasing the dose to give you more visuals or anything, although it does seem to add to the speedy feeling especially if I space out the dosage.
Only time I ever had any hallucinations was the very first time, after that only thing I experience is a few "tracers" here and there.
I do notice that after taken them awhile I do get muscle twitches especially in my eye.

yes I did choose that name because of the band ;)
I saw them live a couple years back with Avenged Sevenfold & Disturbed & it was amazing.
Corey Taylor is a great singer, anything he puts his vocals on I can listen to.
