[please do not incriminate yourself no matter how petty the crime. - Thx. FP]

There's this one building a few blocks away from me [snip]. I heard it was an old retirement home or a psych ward or some shit. [snip] But it also had a creepy side to it, there was a big ass puddle of blood in the one of the rooms and blood on the carpet leading down the stairs. My friend said that a patient stabbed another one and he died, but I dunno what the place was I always thought it was just a retirement home, just creeped me out.

People even spent the night there before when they got kicked out their house lol. I would never do it, shit would be dark as hell and I swear the place would be haunted.

I'll get some pics and shit of it next time I go.

Anybody else like going in abandoned buildings for shit?

I've gone into one abandoned building, twice. It was creepy as hell. Apparently it was a hotel in the early 1900s 'til the 1950s or so. Looked as though it was beautiful at one point, before the graffiti and neglect got the best of it.

I learned that it was an assisted living home, but I dunno someone was still killed in there, because people told me the cops were at the place, I guess when they discovered a body or something in there.

Abandoned hospitals are where it's at, although one time I went to an abandoned theatre that had a broken piano, neglected film projectors, etc. Some of my friends like to go in and do film projects for school, but I just get off on exploring and playing with all the weird shit I find.

urban exploring is pretty popular, but most people i know don't give specifics about where they are going. they don't want lots and lots of people going to a spot and drawing attention to it...

i like to explore abandoned places but i tend to do it only in the day time. at night its too dark to see anything and using flashlights attracts unwanted attention from cops and neighbors.

A few friends and I really got into this at the start of the year, we went to abandoned power stations, houses, but the creepiest place was definitely an abandoned mental hospital. Found some awesome diaries and old sheet music in there, but we got too creeped out to continue exploring :p

Have some pictures of the power station in the Abandoned Buildings contest.

when i lived in detroit, some friends and i used to go exploring in the old abandoned train station downtown. it was really neat and we almost always discovered some new fun things. it was a real pain in the ass to climb the stairs all the way to the roof, but the view up there is amazing. during the winters, certain levels of the building would have iced areas on which we would ice skate.

i live in florida now and haven't been on any adventures of this sort since moving here, but now i want to find some places to explore! :)

Urban exploration is something I'd love to do.

There's a forum dedicated to it, with some excellent photos, most places are in the UK on this site.

There's some pictures a friend put up when they went into an old Asylum in Sunderland in Northern UK, they found medical notes dating back years that were still readable.

I went to a free party in an underground world war two bunker in Manchester, that's the closest I've been to urban exploration.

Outside by day...

Breaking in...

Waiting to get into the unknown.

Inside was pitch black!

The eventuality, they were cool though, they let it go on til around 11am then moved everyone on.

I find it like a trip back in time i mean so many things in many of them were just left as it was on the last day Sort of urban time capsules.
