between my skin
to break my heart.
I only wish you would let go

ahh, it seems I have felt my shortcomings before.
I am aware of more
than most can seem to recognise
in me.
In you
I see that there is
a thorn of sadness
steming from
the small annoyances
I provide.
You provide
a venue for
my heart.
Your heart
at least is mine
for now
For a moment though
I thought it was
just me.
Its just that you
were not smiling
at me.
At your
succumb, I will
attempt to make you happy.
It is my happiness
that you have already
given me.
I have given you
not enough
I can see.
Can you see me
trying to appease.
As I am aware
you are aware
of my
shortcomings.
