Has anyone else had a similar experience:

When I get into a depressed mood, be it a trigger or just feeling down, maybe through anger or someone said something to trip you up, do you have trouble getting out of that mood?

I have nothing to be depressed about right now, angry or disappointed sure, but that I have reasoned out. I just can't shake this dip and it's starting to eat away at me as (those with depression) are well aware of.

Sometimes the worst thing you can do is to try to get away from an unpleasant emotion. It may seem counter-intuitive but try really paying close attention to it--maybe it hangs on because you have something more to learn from it? A lot of times depression is a lot deeper than circumstantial--maybe your mind is trying to say something that you need to hear. Whenever I can't "shake" something like this, that is usually the problem: I need to stay with it and go a little deeper.<3

Thanks for the insight. I'll have to give that a try, the last few days have been draining and I finally caught a break.
