so i know theres a lot of differing opinions on how long to space out rolls. today while rolling i came up with my own theory. once you forget how mdma feels, then you are good to go. today was my first roll in 6 weeks and 2 days, and when i took the pill i knew id feel great but i didnt remember the exact feelings mdma gave me. back when i rolled more often, id take a pill so i could get specific results, and end up disappointed, in addition to having a bad comedown. so ya, just thought id share this theory.

just wait 3 / 4 weeks and you should be fine (IMO) I guess you will have to take bigger breaks after some years of use, but that wont be that hard, since you will be probably groing up, getting other responsabilities and you will be out of the honeymoon time... it gets real hard to wait that much though in the first months even year of use...

my personal opinion is 3 months, that way it can be enjoyed more and you can look forward to it within those months. And you will know your tolerance will be down.

good for you if you can wait for 3 months, I do not do any other drug, so its kind of hard lol... I just make sure I dont fuck my self up, im very into sports, combat sports... and cannot be all fucke up... once a month its fine for me...

2 months for me, regardless in regards to op:

I think 4 weeks is pretty good. That's generally the standard i set last year when i started going to shows every weekend. then i took a few months off and rolled recently at a concert. But, as far as not wanting to, that's at most just pure will power. even if it is the only thing you do just pre occupy yourself. Although while we were candyflipping my friend gave me a very scientifically correct reason that you should wait about 3-5 weeks based on person to person. I'll try to pull up the article on the chemistry behind it

ya today was my 6th roll and itd been over 6 weeks since my last and i rolled as hard as i have problaby since my 2nd time. before this the most id ever waited was 30 days, and id also waited as little as a week. definitly worth it.

Physiologically, most theories support the idea that it takes a minimum of 30 days for your serotonin to replenish.

I'm on a 4 month break from MDMA =0 I can barely believe it myself- I've heard theories from 30 days-4 months, but I think ultimately when you do decide to do it again, it should be for something really special, not just because you've hit that 30 day mark, or 90 day mark.

2-4 times a year, but once every 4-6 months is my preference. Depends on my life situation, right now I'm in the middle of a one year break. I'll never be a once a month user again though. By the time I do roll again though, I pretty much have forgotten how it feels. When I take a month off from drinking I forget how it feels.

I used to do it every 30 days, just to simply do it. Now it's more of a special occasion thing. I'm much healthier mentally since I've stopped using it every month, and started taking at least 3 months in between rolls.

Besides, when you take that 3-6 months off, the quality of the roll is pretty much as good as your first experience. There is a major difference in the roll quality when you roll every month, or every few months.

Lastly, the side effects were much worse when I would do it every month. Only using a 2-4 times per year I now have minimal side effects for a very short period, and sometimes none.

Agreed with SuperPump250 and Bsiren.
The friend of mine who had the link couldn't find it, but regardless saving it for something special is probably the best advice. that and the idea that you should almost sort of wonder what e felt like before you drop.

Any less than a month for MDMA after a while starts to give me trouble. I rolled on a weekly/biweekly basis for a while.... like months, and i felt no real stress on my mind or body with that. But then i got a suicide Tuesday and that was what told me to cut back.

All these supposed theories are freakin BS man. There still hasnt been enough conclusive evidence to support any of these theories. I don't want to come off the wrong way about this. Every Homo Sapian Sapian has a similar chemical makeup, but vary slighty as to how they react to foreign substances. There seem to be ppl that have had know ill affects to their XTC use out there. And there seems to be ppl that complain of all sorts of symptoms related to their XTC use. It seems that ppl are so quick to blame XTC for all their problems when in fact they could have been there all along. I read a report on SERT levels in Human being, and how it could be geneticaly possible for some ppl to be born with lower levels of SERT produced in there bodys. Also, it said that there is the opposite to that where some ppl are born with higher SERT produced in the body... which to me means that ppl with low levels on a genetic level show more symptoms than those with higher levels.

regardless, your brain needs time to replenish all is serotonin

I've had this thought before, as well. I.e., that I'm good to roll again once I've forgotten what it's like.

Isn't it fascinating that while rolling you can have some of the most passionate, life-changing, emotional experiences ever? And yet, you end up forgetting what it felt like.

This was a stupid post in my opinion..
these 'theories' are going off of personal experiences.
I've seen the damage it can do right in front of me to people i know.
It is a powerful drug, in both a good way and a bad way.
