A few questions for my first CWE

I'm asking the fucking questions!
Im thinking of doing my first CWE on some 8/500 codeine/APAP tablets and need a bit of extra info as its pretty hard to find what im looking for in the search bar.

1. If my tablets contain only APAP and codeine, should the water i extract be 100% clear?

2. if im using 20 tablets which works out at 10000mg APAP and 160mg Codeine, how much APAP should i expect to filter through into my solution? will it be a safe ammount?

3. Will 2 Paper towells or 2 sheets of kitchen roll be a decent filter?

4. Do i have to do the freezer stage or can i just use cold water? I read on another thread that all i have to do is use cold water and filter it through, Is this true or is it dangerous?

1. No, usually binders and filllers contaminate the solution. Coffee filters give the clearest solution, but take the longest to work.

2. Depends how much water you are using. Some will still go into solution, but in 21 degree C water only 1 gram of APAP goes into 100ml, so you will be fine man.

3. Use an old shirt.

4. Just use cold water. The heating up then cooling down bit is a myth.

Have you read the CWE mega thread in OD? I wrote it, the first post contains a great guide to doing it.
 
hmmm i read somewhere that there is actually a drug that reverses your tolerance to codeine or at least i think i did. Its supposed lower your tolerance somehow. Just thought you would be interested in reading up about it although i dont know ANYTHING about it myself sorry :/'
 
^ Was it a post I made about trifluoperazine? I've been asking all over BL about it, it might reverse tolerance to all opioids or maybe not... I'm considering doing an experiment on it. It's an old anti-psychotic, so it can have nasty side effects though.
 
Please let us all know how the experiment goes :)

Is trifluoperazine still prescribed or are you getting it from another source? Or would that be breaking the source rules? :P

I just wanted to point out that at least one coffee filter is also needed for filtering after the shirt. The 1000mg/mL thing only applies in a situation where filtration is perfect, there will always be more that makes it through and is suspended in the solution.

It's still prescribed, a good friend of mine is surprisingly prescribed it for panic attacks. Weird, huh? I was pretty shocked when she told me.

I never use a coffee filter, but I would recommend to other BL'ers that it could be a good idea. I am known to have a reckless disregard for my health.

Also, dokomo is right about the other thing too. 1000mg/100ml is just how much can be dissolved, not how much could be suspended.

I will say that although I always just use a shirt, use often as I am an addict and sometimes even drink to excess on the stuff, I am still here. I would not recommend that to other people though, but I am saying that if necessary, just using a shirt won't cause you any harm.

Psychedelic Jay, I don't get it... but that reminds me of something!

WET THE SHIRT FIRST! If the shirt is wet first, then it's easier for the solution containing codeine to pass through it and not get absorbed in the shirt.

Fuck, how could I forget that!?
 
I've actually learnt a few things in this thread.. And I thought I knew everything about CWE'ing.

Cut pieces out of the shirt to use as a filter, to prevent the mix from soaking into the whole shirt.

Thankyou so much for that tip :D I often wonder how much codeine i am loosing through the shirt absorbing the liquid.
Do you mean like soaked or just a bit damp?
