a Few Questions about opiate tollerance, help!

I have a few questions, I have been taking Hydrocodone, first 5/500 than 7.5/750 for about 4 months; now I've been taking the 10/325's for about 6 months about 60-80 mgs almost daily for my herniated disks in my back, even though they really don't do much for the pain anymore, generaly I'm taking one large dose a day.
If instead of taking 80 mgs once a day I was taking 10-20 mgs 2 to 3 times times a day. How long would it take for my tollerance to drop to "normal" levels?
Also, Now I've heard that DXM lowers tollerance and I posted questions on it but never got a difinitive answer other than it's know to lower tollerance. What I need to know is how much DXM to take? How long before taking the hydrocodone should I injest the DXM? About how much should the dose of hydro be lowered? Will this speed up the amount of time it would take to lower my tollerance in the long-run? Finaly is there any other methods or easily obtainiable substances, other than K which I cannot obtain, to speed up the lowering of opiate tollerance?

You take the DXM while you're off the opioids, after only a few days, taking only larger then the recomended dose, you're tollerance will be back to normal..
The best thing you can do is simply cut your doseas low as possible, even if you can only do it for a few days, try to go 100% sober - THEN pop that 50mg-80mg dose and see how ya feel!

I was under the impression that DXM helps to avoid tolerance, and that you should dose lightly before you injest your narcs. I've also been told or read that K and Tagamet do the same things.
I've also read that it takes roughly a month to rid yourself of the tolerance. I was dosing about 80mg of oxycontin to get high (which is why i'm taking Oct. off). Could I get my tolerance down to 20mg by drinking a little robo for about a week? I think a Opiate Tolerance FAQ would help a lot of us out... BTW.. thanks PhreeX for the withdrawal FAQ.

Some say you can dose with DXM before you take yer opiates and it will make you more responsive - this is definitly the case with ketamine, but I have not found DXM will lower your tollerance when taken WITH opiates... as I said, some claim success with that method, but for me it just didn't work...
