What category does cannabis fall under when it comes to effects? Is it a Psychedelic, depressant, stimulant... well you get the point.

Also, Why does Indica effects users differently than sativa strains? What is it that causes this effect?

What are the buds called? Buds? Do they have a specific scientific name possibly?

(Used SE)

I think that may be it for now.

ALSO, A site as a reference would be very much appreciated.

mj is just a plant, its not wildly different or weird...

The marijuana produced by indica plants is generally higher in CBD and lower in THC than sativa plants. This means marijuana from a pure Cannabis indica strain will produce a heavier, sleepy type of stone (when compared with marijuana from a Cannabis sativa plant).

Well Marijuana is classified as a hallucinogen however most people tend to disagree.
The majority of people will tend to agree on it being a depressant and a psychedelic. I am fairly sure that it's not a stimulant though.

cognodysleptic

I've seen cannabis classified as a cognodysleptic drug.

(I'm a fan of Calea zacatechichi as well.)

Keep in mind that each strain of cannabis contains its own unique cannabinoid profile, with varying ratios of the many different cannabinoid compounds that cannabis produces. This is why different strains have different effects. Some cannabinoids are cognodysleptics, some are stimulants, some are depressants, some relieve pain well, some are anti-psychotics, some do different things entirely. There's a bunch of different effects the various cannabinoids produce, the flavor of the experience all depends on the strain's unique cannabinoid profile.

Sativa and indica do produce mildly different effects. Thats why with medicinal marijuana they prescribe different types of dank ass bud lol.

Cannabis.com has a lot of info about this in the forums.
