60mg codeine + 10mg valium: is this safe?

Hi guys,

just a really quick question. noticed there are some valiums and some codeine around my parents house. was wondering if it is safe to mix say 60-80mg codeine with 10mg valium. i am pretty experienced with codeine (have a slight tolerance), but hardly use valium.

would these two potentiate each other much?

if you could reply quickly coz I was thinking of doing it tonight=D
 
They potentiate each other very nicely. With benzos just do bout half of what u normally do on its own. I sometimes combine alprazolams with oxys and codeine. Just be very wise going about it. It can be a dangerous combo if not used correctly.

If you actually get high off that I fucking envy you so much. You say you have codeine tolerance so have obviously used it before recreationally, how much would you normally dose? I get the impression you have likely reduced your standard dose by half if not more and really unless you are nodding your tits off on the usual dose of codeine you shouldn't even need to lower your codeine dose to combine with 5-10mg diazepam.

I don't think 60-80mg of codeine and 10mg valium would kill a toddler, let alone be dangerous to you. Obviously if you had adverse reactions to either or both of these medications it may be a different story.

Honestly I would bump that codeine dose to atleast close to 200mg and if you are worried about over sedation just take 5mg valium.

There are probably those out there who disagree with me, but when potentiating codeine with low doses of benzo's I don't think it is a neccessary practise to reduce your codeine dosage unless you are completely naive to one or both drugs. If you use the valium to potentiate the codeine but then use less codeine you aren't really adding to the effect, just getting more bang for your buck. Codeine is pretty damn weak and much as I love the stuff I feel it needs a LOT of additives to be worthwhile for more than a relatively short period of abuse. Just my 2c.

thanks for the advice.

normally i use a whole packet of generic nurofen plus (CWE), but i am staying at my mums place for a few weeks so I didn't have the time to do a CWE and there were only like 10 nurofen left in the pack. thats why the codeine dose was so low.

ended up taking around 80-90mg codeine over a period of a few hours plus 20mg valium over the same period. got a nice buzz off it. I like the sedating effects of the valium mixed with those of the codeine.

I presumed when i posted this thread it would be safe, but because i have never tried this combo before (and heard opiates + benzos are a dangerous mix) it would be good to err on the side of caution.

Smart thinking man, always good to be on the safe side. Opiates and benzo's can be a dangerous combo but one such as valium+codeine would probably require a great deal of both naivety to the substances and recklessness to actually die from it.

If you have access to valium I reccomend trying 5-10mg next time you do your standard CWE dose, there is excellent synergy between these substances so long as you don't overshoot the valium.
 
Back last year when i managed to get a script for val, i started doing some experimenting with the 50 tablets haha..


I had like 20mg diazepam + 300 or so of codeine..

WOO! I was nodding.. proper nodding haha.. it was GREAT ! I remember hueys kitchen was on or something in the after noon and i kept like nodding.. then bam.. its like 10 minutes later as i nob my head up hahaha


It was good. VERY VERY EUPHORIC !

Reccomended. I had not really any tolerance.. i dont think.. at that point. Don't do it if your just starting out. Gauge your shit over a few times..

Are you sure it was the valium that had you nodding and not Huey's Kitchen? I find Huey to be quite a potent potentiator of opioids. ;)
 
^well i didn't wanna go naming names or anything;)

i got "threatened" with boarding school after i got caught taxing my dads harvest one year, bout grade 9 or 10 i think. i say "threatened" because i honestly wanted to go as it was a football school and i was already playing CQ representative football with half their school team already.
