I have been using meth for about 2 years now, after the first 6 months I was burnt out and a friend asked if I head taking 5-htp I had never heard of it before, he said it would help the recovery the next day, It worked great, one night I got a wild idea to take it about midnight after smoking for several hours, I took the recommended dose and went about "tweaking" to my surprise I didn't feel groggy or tired or paranoid when I went to work, I did it again the following night and the same result, after 14 days with no sleep and no side side affects (that long without sleep should have caused psychosis but the serotonin produced by 5-htp replaced what was not being produced during REM sleep) I had an appetite, I had no problem drinking water, and taking care of myself, I decided that even though I wasn't tired that my body needed time to rest, I won't go more than 2 weeks without sleep just due to the fact that i missed sleeping, along with 5-htp I also take potassium, magnesium, and zinc, along with vitamin C, vitamin B12/6, and potassium gluconate (all available at Walmart in the vitamin isle) this combination allows me to go weeks on end without sleep and without looking/feeling/acting tired i am in no way saying that this is a good idea, METH is in my opinion the worst drug known to man I have cut back from a gram a day to a gram a week and I'm hoping I will one day be able to say that I beat it without "rehab" hope this was helpful I am willing to answer any other questions feel free to ask
