2nd opinion - forum for writers with mandatory grammar rules for all post.

when i post on forums as 'tantric' or 'tantric4hrs' i don't use initial capital and have some other variations. idiolect:

i know i'm not close to that, but it's not a mistake if you do it on purpose. i scatter -''s and ...'s around too. so, should i abandon a forum where grammar nazi mods 'correct' your posts and ban you if you don't Follow the Rules? seriously, like my 9th grade grammar teacher is a mod there. fuck. but it has been noted i have a gift for pissing of netgods, so second opinon?

i've got my own set of grammatical rules for informal, digital communication. but i recently joined an online dating site, and i quickly abandoned my personal style and am going with more traditional grammar for my profile and messages. and i've recently become torn with text messaging. a lot of my digital style was shaped by the medium, and now that i have an iphone i'm having to click the un-capitalize arrow every time i start a new sentence and go back and undo autocorrect constantly in order to maintain the style. so it's no longer very practical.

make your case to the mods. if it's a no go, then decide if having to follow the rules is worth being able to participate on the forum. if you like posting there, it'd be silly to stop because you don't want to use capitals.
