i took 2mgs of suboxone at 12:30pm, its now 7pm so a good 61/2 hours and today was the first day ever taking suboxone, so i dont have a massive build up in my system of suboxone would i be able to feel these 10mg vicodins if i took them now?

thanks man i appreciate it!i really wanna take them, i got ten of em im just lookin to get a little nicey nice tonight, and i took 2mgs 6 and a half hours ago so i figured it would work since suboxone takes a while to build up in ur system to block opiate receptors, if u take a a lot over time.

I thought that buprenorphine dampened the effects of other opiates for 30+ hours, I may be mistaken though so please feel free to correct me If this is wrong.
From personal experience though I had 1mg of suboxone (Snorted) a full 26 hours before ingesting 400mg of codeine this one time and I barely got anything from it.

It's not so much that it builds up in your system, but that if you take a large enough dose, it will saturate your opiate receptors. If you take 2mg, it's not that much and you should still be able to get most of your opiate's effects. However some people still opt to wait a while to get maximum effects, or whatever they want to get out of the experience.

For people that take 16mg or more of Suboxone at a time, they will have almost no chance of being able to get high on top of that.

It will if you take enough of it. Otherwise it's a negligible "dampening" effect.

Also, codeine is much weaker than buprenorphine, so I'm not surprised that happened. Most people need a more potent opiate to be able to get around buprenorphine before waiting 1-2 days.

26 hours is still a long time to have waited for almost no effects though, but that's attributable to the fact that everyone is unique.
