2CT4 and DPT - contact high?

This is a quick report (well, by my standards 8) ) on 2CT4 and DPT, which MTL and I tripped on yesterday and last night. It was a perfect day for it: the 2CT4 was taken early in the morning and followed by a long walk along the river in the sunshine, looking at a little wooden boat that one of our friends has just started doing up ready for the summer. At sunset we went back to his flat, snorted a small line of DPT, and ate strawberries, the first of the summer. Maybe it was this that suddenly triggered intense memories from my childhood. I vividly remembered all kinds of things that I’d forgotten, how I used to play, what I used to feel, as though I was back there. We stayed to eat a big meal, and after a couple of hours I drove home (don’t judge me on this till you read to the end).

On the drive home I had to concentrate hard. All the lights were like enormous starbursts, the way they look when you’re peaking, although it was about 12 hours since taking the 2CT4 and some time since the DPT. As we were pulling up at some traffic lights, I suddenly found myself back in Australia, where I lived some years ago. I was actually approaching some traffic lights in a suburb I used to drive through regularly when I lived out there. At some level I knew I couldn’t really be there, but I just couldn’t work out where else I could possibly be. It took me what seemed like an eternity to force myself back into the real moment. I’ve never experienced anything like that before – it was very confusing: this must be what a time warp feels like. Needless to say, I was driving very very carefully indeed, and glad we didn’t have far to go.

When we got home, there were more intense memories from my childhood – strange things, and I was right back there, experiencing it all again. I shared them with MTL. We made love, and I don’t know how to put this but – for me, it was one non-stop full-body orgasm all the way through, like an intensely sexual DMT rush… quite overwhelming. I think he had quite a nice time too ;)

Anyway, the funny thing is this. I was at work all day yesterday, so I wasn’t there for the walk along the river. I never touched any of the 2CT4 or DPT. I only joined MTL and our friends after work for the strawberries and the meal. We shared a couple of spliffs, but I don’t see how that could possibly account for what I experienced. I’ve heard about the “contact high” with psychedelics, but never took it as literally as this. I’m just thinking you don’t get much better bangs for your buck: dose = zero; effects = at least a memorable plus-2, probably a plus-3; bodyload = none whatsoever… %)

Subiaco (WA)... ?

I should probably add I haven't been overdoing things lately - last time I tripped was nearly a fortnight ago, and before that it was a while too.

Is this what's called a contact high? I just wondered if anyone else had ever experienced anything like it, because I've heard about it but never really believed it.

You can't beat it for value for money though!!

I recieved a powerful contact high when being around my friend while he was on 24mg of 2ci.
It brought me to a solid ++. Good times. My high kicked in and wore off when his did. I was smoking pot all day so that could have influenced it, but the high i felt was much more than canabis alone.

Yeah smoking lots of pot definitely helps if you are lookin' to get a contact high (in my experience anyway) =D

I'm new to all this (including Bluelight) and didn't know childhood memories were associated with 2Ct4. I will look into it!

What I find interesting about contact highs is how you explain them. I wonder if it is enough just to be with people who you know are on a certain level to feel you have permission to think and behave in a similar way, and therefore you become easily capable of a kind of social interaction you'd normally consider difficult to attain, or even impossible, without drugs. If so, then the implications for social change are immense if the new psychedelics become more openly accepted. (I think, for example, that E has already changed our social expectations, compared to the punk era when sneering was the name of the game. Perhaps this is just the start of it.)

On the other hand, this wouldn't explain the starburst lights, etc... Strange, but fun.
