Letting Go - 2CI (8 mg), Cannabis ( one joint average sativa), claritin D
A friend and fellow explorer needed to journey. He had come off an SSRI ( Lexapro) for a while, and he wanted to explore some tryptamines, so I chopped up my supply of cubensis ( 2 grams) and prepared him a quasi Eleusian beverage to quaff. I have been working through some ideas for a book I am working on and have been feeling burdened and a bit toxic from the energy this seems to produce in my body. I don't know what to do with the energy besides swim through it.
I was nervous - as I always am - about tripping, but decided I should follow Stolaroff's research and use a lose dose of a 2C to help guide my friend, who had never used this particular ally but is experienced with others. I measured out 8 mg on my scale ( +- 2 mg) and drank it down with water. It had an interesting effect on my tongue - as if it were instantly psychedelic.
I have worked with this compound at low dosages before - I am on the learning curve toward the alleged sweet spot of 16 mg, and see no reason to rush things. There is much to be learned at the lower dosages as well. If I could rewind, I would probably use ten mgs for this purpose, but a prior experience with 10 was surprisingly intense and I wanted to be available for my friend should he need help navigating.
A gentler and more appropriate treatment of my anxiety and energy surplus could not be found. I was able to literally let go of the twitchy excess energy and see that my body is healthy and fine. A bit of cannabis definitely made the experience trippier - a walk in the woods bathed me in an interconnected vitality of insects, plants and fungi - and a swim was delightful even if my body felt heavier and looser than usual. I felt great in the comedown and the next day. The only body load consisted of one purging moment ( in which I was called upon to thank mother ayahuasca, my true ally, and I did), but this purge was provoked as much by a discussion of recent events in Iraq and our fallen world than it was by any physiological response. It also felt good to get it out.
I can't wait - but will - to explore this compound at higher doses and will return to low doses of the 2c's for their remarkable potential in the future. In the light of recent postings on the 2CI fine and dandy thread, it is worth remembering that these allies can teach at many different levels and dosages.
