Set: Only got 2 hours sleep last night. I have been coming off of a sickness as well. Mindset is very positive though.
Setting: Living room with wife and dog. Started at 10am on Super Bowl Sunday 2008.
0:00 - Wife and I took 7mg each of 2CB-fly
0:50 – first visuals set in. They are standard psychedelic visuals; wavy floors, breathing walls. Thought process is starting to break up a bit. Body load is stable with some stomach disruptions.
1:10 - Wife is feeling sleepy. I am feeling very light. I can almost compare it to feeling like a piece of Styrofoam. There is a very hollow and thin body feeling.
1:30 - This is very mellow. Things are tranquil. The waves of emotions rise and fall unbelievably slowly and subtly. There is a flirtation at trying out the erotic side of this material. This sparks strong butterflies in my stomach, but we decide to wait until later when we fully peak.
2:00 – Took another 8mg. Dog seems to know I'm tripping.
2:10 - Shadows are playing a big part. Shadows somehow seem more important than the objects which are casting the shadows. This seems like a metaphor to the subconscious.
2:30 - More body discomfort. Very finely in tune to organs and other internal feelings.
2:40 – Mom calls and needs tech support for her computer. This is an incredibly nerve-racking experience. I almost broke down in tears a couple times. I don’t think she even suspected my state. I am surprised at how well I handle the situation.
3:00 – The experience is in full effect now. I am awaiting insight or deeper thoughts. This level is far too busy to explore the erotic sides of this material now.
3:20 – I have a major reaction with tears when thinking about the possibility of change in the near election. Conversation spins into the potential for change in the near future.
4:00 – Wife is lying with eyes closed and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the visuals. I comfort her and ask questions about her experience to regain connections.
4:30 – I ask the question to wife, “Do you think psychedelics break down the ego itself or just break down the elaborate walls our egos have created to protect itself?” This introduces a conversation about Freud, ego, and psychedelics.
5:15 – We begin a meditation CD when a gang of mangy neighborhood kids knock on door asking if we have kids. They then ask about playing with our dog. I close the door as quick as I can. It is a very awkward yet hilarious situation which spawns a half hour of jokes and belly-aching laughs.
6:00 – Visuals are still strong yet my mental has stabilized.
7:00 – 8:00 – Wife begins to develop headache. I’m trying to stay upbeat. Comedown for me is very gentle.
8:00 – At kickoff time, I am still buzzing but definitely on my way down. Players seem to move at lightning speed and commercials are super funny.
Conclusion – I found this material to be enjoyable. The body buzz is lovely. I found the visuals have a heavy swaying effect and emphasis on shadows. I did not find the insight others refer to. Although this material deserves more exploration, I believe it will be more useful at a lower dosage. Next time I think I’d try just 6mg-8mg or simply 'bust a move' earlier in the trip to explore the erotic side.
