Opioids 25mcg/hour Fentanyl patches question

Hey friends, I acquired a 25mcg/hour Fentanyl patch (72 hours duration). It is a clear little patch that says it right on the patch. Here is a picture.






Anyways, my question is - I put the patch on at 6pm, it is now 10:21 pm. How long does it take to start working, and how long until I reach peak plasma concentration?

My tolerance I'd say is fairly average, it takes about 50mg of hydrocodone to catch a nice buzz nowdays.

I was looking online if I could maybe cut it into small pieces and chew on them, but I was advised against it by many forums. I just stuck the patch on and will find out how it goes. The patch was places on the side of my bicep facing away from me. Any information on the patch would be great. Thanks :)


P.S. If I want to take the patch off when I sleep (so that I can use it for more days rather than leaving it on continuously for 3 days straight), is that feasible? Thanks once again. %)
 
It takes a while to feel anything. First time I put on a patch I felt almost nothing for 3-4 hours, didn't feel a real buzz for 6-8 and didn't plateau for 12.
 
It can take as long as 12-18 hours for patches to work.

Do NOT chew on the patch, this can be absolutely lethal.

No it's not feasible to remove and re-attach the patch, once it's on, it's on. Once it's off, it wont work again.

Once you've taken it off it can take another 12-18 hours for the Fentanyl to be fully absorbed from the fats in your body.

25mcg is not an overly big dose.

Fentanyl patches aren't really worth abusing, IMO. They just take so long to kick in, so long to ware off and don't give much of a buzz anyway. I've fiddled about with them in the past but have just conceded that they're not worth the hassle.

this dude is not bsing,,, man ive shot one of these and woke up in the ER... this shit is strong. be careful with it
