I'm a long time lurker on this forum, but rarely chime in because of the vast amount of information already available, but I can't seem to find anything about this combination anywhere, so I want to chime in with my only, and last experience with it.

I took 25i-nbome (1000ug complexed tab) and had a pretty mellow trip, towards the tail end of the trip I found myself cleaning (sometimes psychedelics make me want to do this?) Anyway whilst tidying up I came across a 200mg bag of ketamine hidden in a drawer. The strange part is, I've been having a recurring dream for several weeks about scrabbling in the back of this drawer, I've emptied it out several times and not found anything, but today, clear as day this bag was glistening to me.

Unfortunately I've had an itch for ketamine, and in my haste I could not wait..

Now, I know it's not wise to mix drugs, I'm comfortable with both, but have very little knowledge on potential interactions. I've read a few reports with insufflated ketamine and 25i, and there seemed to be nothing negative mentioned. Anyway, I decided to wait a while, I put it off until the 25i effects were all gone (about +16h).

I prepped my shot, decided to aim low just in case, 80mg into a 1cc syringe.

When administering there was a slightly heightened sense of pain, Something didn't feel right, so I withdrew the needle (about 60mg was administered). Rather than try and administer the rest, I thought that I should leave it and enjoy it as is.

I could feel the ketamine coming on in the usual way, I could feel myself gently slipping down.

As the ketamine was taking hold, something switched in my brain, my eyes shot open and I became acutely aware of a sensation that I wasn't breathing properly. I sat up, and my breathing seemed ok. I closed my eyes, but I was too anxious to let it take hold, my mind was fighting the ketamine. I just sat there, not feeling to great, but forced to ride it out.

It had been a bit of a bust.

The part that concerns me most is what happened towards the end, as the ketamine wore off, my heart felt a little strange. At this point I decided to head to the kitchen (there's people around the house, seemed like a sensible place to sit down, just in case).

I felt my pulse, it felt weak (but it always does on ketamine, sense of touch is hardly heightened). I ignored it.

Whilst I was in the kitchen, I had what I can only describe as the most severe panic attack I've ever experienced (I get them off and on, Certain drugs can bring them on during the tail of the trip, particularly mxe, but I can usually handle them without problem).

I held one hand on my chest, over my heart, and my thumb over my carotid pulse (neck).

They both felt weak (again, probably the ketamine's anaesthetic qualities). However, this is the part I can't shake. It felt as though my heart stopped, and at the same time the pulse in my neck shuddered to a halt. Several seconds passed before it kicked back up.

For the days following this I've had some minor pain in my chest on the left side, but that's subsided now.

Even though this was a horrible experience, I can't quantify whether what I experience was just a bad trip, or something more. I have a predisposition to panic attacks, but this was different to anything I've experienced, and nor did I have any sort of haze (Usually from the moment a panic attack kicks in, to when it begins to dissipate, I have no recollection of what's happened, but I can clearly remember moving to the kitchen, sitting down, feeling unwell etc.)

I rarely post, and more so I don't want to post bad experiences, because they're so far and few between, but I do feel the need to post a cautionary tale on a combination with very little information.

If this belongs anywhere else, please move it, I wasn't sure where to put it.

Additional Information

I spoke to a close friend of mine who's an NHS paramedic, they said what I most likely experienced was a form of cardiac ectopy most likely caused by a failed discharge from my hearts Sinoatrial node, they don't believe it's too much to worry about.

Hello, this belongs in the trip reports forum so I've moved it there. You can ask one of the moderators of TR if you would like the title changed :)
