would it carm me down and put me to sleep? im feeling really anxious/ depressed. Need to rest but cant.

Do not take it if you are feeling depressed.

Blues are Blues mate, they will make you feel worse,
However
If you are very anxious about a situation (such as a trip to the dentist or something) and it is making you depressed, then they are very helpful.

Valium is a Tool, Do not abuse it, or it will mess you up.

20mg is what i have taken in the past after a rave (being on ket, mdma + weed, But the Ket and md had long worn off , as there are dangers with mixing valium + ket, Valium + booze and so on)

20mg put me asleep,

If you are going to take it though, id say 10mg

Well I think the reason I feel depressed is party to the sudden stop of valium. However, I was on 2mg x3/4 for about a month!? then all of sudden I ran out, didnt bother to get my repeated prescription, and I seem to be thrown into a manic depressive like episode.

Okay, thanks. Well apparently I need to wait 24 houres before I can get my prescription so it would be tomorrow.

Thats what I thought, but the dose was so low that I thought it wouldnt be possible. I take valium to help fight of my HPPD visuals, it did help to an extent. While I was on valium, I was slightly more aggressive, when I came off it I felt depressed, and it got worst day by day, im getting some tomorrow and Ill go back on them, then slowly come off. Have you experienced racing thoughts? is that part of the WD? I cannot sleep at night, just imagine a bucket full of random thoughts chucked in your brain, one thing leading to another its so frustrating.

I also seem to daydream alot, obsessing about movie characters, its like they are alive in my mind even when the show ends.. I keep seeing them in different locations etc.. and somehow, I try to manifest them/ shape my life around a tv show.. this sounds so stupid I know, but ive been like this ever since I was a kid, but recently the intensity had lowered, it was way less, and as soon as I came of valium I feel like everything is coming back again..

Yer man thanks for your help, the racing thoughts seems to be reducing, and ive had a couple of nightmares during WD, all which where related to my bad acid trips. Ill try an be more sensible with it, but also need benzos to treat my hppd, soon I may be put on clonozopam. I have some Diphenhydramine :)

Like Darksidesam said, Valium/daizepam can make you more depressed, so be cautious of that.

20mg will put you to sleep with a low tolerance. You could try a sedative antihistamine such as diphenhydramine 50mg + 10mg Valium, anxiety will be relieved and the sedation will be potentiated.

*Edit: There you go, you got some Diph! Just saw that. I was once prescribed clonazepam (as well as diazepam) it definitely took care of my anxiety and my depression to an extent. I'm no longer on any benzos due to my bupe script, but clonazepam will always be my favorite for both recreational and therapeutic reasons. I miss that minty, sweet taste under my tongue.

haha, Ive heard alot of great things about clonazapam, especially for the treatment of hppd, need it but my doctor wants to give valium "another go".

Clonazepam doesn't have that much on diazepam. You could try it, but you are on a fairly low dose of diazepam, and unless an increase wouldn't be helpful, again it could be something to try. Most benzos are fairly similar, it is about finding the one that works best for you. They vary most in their hypnotic properties or lack there of, and their half-lives. Both clonazepam and diazepam (and its active metabolites) have very respectable, long half-lives, a good quality for benzos if you are taking them daily for anxiety relief. Diazepam is easier to get off of when the time comes, but you could always switch back and then taper. Clonazepam is a pretty good benzo IMO for pretty much everything, anxiety, sleep, muscle relaxation, but so is diazepam. It is personal taste.
