At this point I really don't even care as long as it's not people who make us look like complete idiots to the rest of the world. I really don't want Biden to run again, that doesn't make sense. Trump would destroy the country, and Bow down to Putin.

As far as De Santis I think he's preferable to Trump, but I also see him as more of a political threat because he's not a complete moronic grifter and is far more right wing. He'll actually make more negative changes instead of golfing 200 days per year.

I don't think that deSantimonious has captured enough of the base yet from Trump, I think Trump is still undoubtedly the favorite as far as the GOP base goes.

But, he's a disaster in the general I think. He got made a one-term president in 2020 and almost all of his chosen candidates in the races that really mattered in 2022 fell on their faces. If the GOP was smart they'd think further ahead and probably put deSantis up there...the Democrats are definitely vulnerable, they just need someone more mainstream and "palatable" for independents...someone who will cut taxes and ensure that the rich get richer, just less flashy and crude than Trump

I wish Biden would hand it off to someone else. Not Kamala, though, god no

I don't know if I can handle another Biden vs Trump vote. Please god, let that not happen.

If Dems are smart they'll support someone new, someone younger, articulate, and well spoken. If Trump goes against Biden, I think he'll have the greatest chance of winning and it will be an absolute disaster for America. His first term will be remembered in history books as a cancer, it remains to be seen how far-reaching that cancer becomes, and how long it infests us. I don't know if we would survive another 4 years of Trump.

I think if Trump goes against almost anyone else, he'll lose soundly, though. Biden is just not liked by pretty much anyone, and, well, he's fucking senile. I don't know anyone who didn't cry inside at least a little as they voted for him in 2020... it will be worse in 2024. A fresh face, someone charismatic, I think would be a landslide if the contender is Trump.

If it's DeSantis, though, I'm not sure any Dem would win. I think it would be much more likely the Repubs would win the presidency if they choose DeSantis, rather than Trump. I don't know anyone, nor have I even heard of anyone online, who has become a Trump supporter since the end of his term and all of his shenanigans. I personally know or have talked to a number of previous Trump supporters who he turned off and now admit they were duped and made a mistake. Of course he has a lot of die-hard supporters, some of whom just blindly support anyone they consider anti-establishment regardless of any other reason, and some of whom literally worship him as the second coming of Jesus or something. But that base has only shrunk, and he lost the 2020 election already.

^ trump?

he's as corrupt and establishment as anybody in washington...

he said he'd "drain the swamp" but his administration was stacked with former lobbyists and corporate executives, he and his family profited from the office, he catered to the uber-wealthy and corporations at the expense of the american people. his administration was a litany of scandals and ethics violations and his luxurious lifestyle was being subsidized by u.s. taxpayers.

so, not so much.

So, people got to see how corrupt Washington DC is?

I’m gonna put my GOP prediction down as 60% chance of Trump 40% Desantis.

For the Democrats, 70% Biden 10% Harris and 20% someone else (I really hope it is the latter) unless Biden dies or becomes too senile to even give a speech off of a teleprompter.

If Biden is out of the running and resigned from office, 60%% chance of Harris and 40% someone else since she (despite being extremely unlikeable) will already be President and will milk the “keep the first woman President in office” shit for all it is worth.

I don't think this is the flex you think it is considering Trump was the source of nearly all the corruption.

exactly. it's insane logic.

if i murdered a member of your family, electrum1, and defended it by saying that now people are more aware of the danger of murderers, i'd get some credit? maybe forgiven for providing a public service?
