1. Sometimes I see a green light next to my name, sometimes it's not green. What does it specify?

2. Under my name is a gray box with a question mark in it. I see this in many places. What does this mean? I thought adding an avatar would replace it but it didn't.

a green light next to your name means you're currently logged in/active. it's only when you're logged off the green light disappears. it's a way to show others around you that you're on site.

i don't have an answer to your second question. either way, i'm moving this to where you'll get some solid answers.

If members have the invisible feature activated that little green light won't be there either :)

This question mark means when you're viewing profiles it will show up if the member doesn't have an avatar or a profile picture.

I'm pretty certain Greenlighters can't upload a profile picture, so you will have to wait until you're a Bluelighter to sort that out.
