New Delhi, India (AHN) -- A 120-year-old woman claims that smoking cannabis every day is her secret to long life.

Fulla Nayak, from India, says she reached the age of 120 by smoking pot and drinking strong palm win in her hut everyday.

She is living with her 92-year-old daughter and 72-year-old grandson.

Nayak told The Sun newspaper, "I don't know how I've survived so long. Many relatives much younger than me have died."

Kendrapada (Orissa): Fulla Nayak said to be one of the oldest women in India, died at her home in Orissa, her family said.

CNN-IBN first reported about Fulla who was 120 years old. A resident of Kanarpur village in the coastal district of Kendrapada, she died of old age complications on Saturday.

There is no birth certificate to prove Fulla's age but the age of her children gives one a fair idea – her eldest daughter Bela Bawa is 92 and her eldest grandson is 72.

According to her 72-year-old grandson, Fulla was 120.

The grand old woman lived in a small mud-walled thatched house in Kanarpur, about 25 km from the district headquarters. She is survived by two of her four daughters and around two dozen relatives.

Fulla was in the news when her grandson Narayan Nayak claimed last week that she could be the oldest woman living in the world. He had said that he would write to the Guinness book authorities to record the claim.

Fulla was known for her love of smoking ganja, cigars and palm juice. She also loved steaming hot tea.

She had never suffered any debilitating ailment throughout her life. Except for her weak eyesight, Fulla maintained good health and used to walk without support.

Hmmm....I knew it was only a matter of time before India started using cannabis to fuel a legion of half-decayed seniors.
 
anybody else read about a study done on rastas in jamaica?

the study showed that the average rasta would live a couple years (i forget howmany) longer than the average jamaican. I was looking for a link to the study, so if anybody knows the one im talking about, id appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.
 
Anyone read about the study done on pygmies in South Guinea who sniff eight rocks of cocaine a day? I saw the videos, fuckin' pygmies jumpin' around all over the place.
 
This is the most uplifting article I have read in a long time. I can't wait to get back on the doobie train this coming summer.
 
It sucks that she died but........hahahahahahahahahahahaha.....omg this is just so funny to me right now, lol a 72 year old grandson and 92 year old daughter. Good on her ay, guess the saying "smoke bongs, live long" has some real meaning.
 
I am kind of skeptical on this...I personally don't believe weed was the main reason her life was extended. I need scientific studies, and research, before I sway over to believe something like this. That's just me though.
