been taking the 10MG Diazepam for the last week or so daily; anywhere from 10-40MG a day. wondering how long it takes to pick up a physical addiction? it's the LAST THING I WANT OR NEED. I havent done any in over 12 hours now and dont plan on taking anything over the weekend. I recently got dosed on these once again (used to be Xanax 1MG 3x's daily before being open about a dope problem).

anyway, the benzo's do "help" me at times but other times I just use to abuse (bad, I know). I also use to help sleep or take one when I smoke a bowl or something.

so, how worried should I be? it's been only a week about OK abuse I'd say. nothing too whacky but abuse is abuse. I just swallow the fuckers, nothing like I once did between snorting, shooting, etc. although, swallowing is best anyway.

what is everyone's experience w/ these Diazapam? how long did you stay on? how quick should I get off? what's been the perfect dosage for you? dosage to sleep? to feel good? to lose anxiety? you know. for all the things we want out of a benzo.

I was never a benzo fan because opiates were always my drug of choice, but since stopping opiates I've been using benzo's here and there but just this past week I got a script back and it somewhat worries me and somewhat doesnt. I jut want to hear the REAL PRO's advice before I do anything else.

Thanks.

my friend was taking the same amount as you and after about a month he felt like he needed them to live ( i could imagine it taking shorter time to get hooked) he got off them after about 2 months

You could get addicted within a month, depending how much you use everyday. I started getting pretty serious withdrawal symptoms after a month of abusing the first time, the second time i even had a seizure.
Youre better off stopping while you can, cause benzo withdrawal is a bitch.

yup, def. holding off then cuz seizures are something that happen to me often because of my brain tumor as well. so the benzo's dont mix well w/ them. i am def. going to go on a hiatus and see what happens. ill let you guys know if I fail miserably but so far today I have stayed away and not taken as benzo as of yet. let's hope it stays that way. I will keep MOST here at work so I cant get till Monday but there are some at the house JUST IN CASE, ya know!?

After a week you'll be fine, same as if you binged on dope for a week. Some rebound anxiety but no physical w/d.
Everything I've read says benzo dependency takes longer to establish than opiates, but I couldn't say as when I was on benzos I never experienced any w/d until I quit (excessive prescriptions that I never ran out of...).

well, I ended up LYING yesterday cuz last night at like 10PM I ended up taking 1 10MG as I was sipping wine w/ my girl and then we go into bad and had a little fun. pretty sad, huh? I ALMOST went the whole day.. but today I gave her ALL MY PILLS cuz I know I wont see her for another 2 days due to a few family problems on her side, so I should be fine. ha.

anyway, with or without, been feeling great when waking up; although, they DO NOT knock me out all night. I consistently wake up throughout the night. does anyone else have this problem w/ benzos? I always used them to sleep or get fucked up more than I did anxiety; even the Dr. once knew I was just using to sleep cuz Trazadone did NOTHING and Ambien is a scarier drug to use than benzos themselves, ha. but yea, these things wake me every few hours. its like once the high wears off I wake and have to fight to go back to bed. pain in the ass.

I feel as if everything will be fine and no worries as far as the benzos go. lets just hope my feeling is the RIGHT feeling.

I don't really understand the problem... You're not addicted... so just stop taking them?
