Hello, I'm drug user from Japan. I mostly take what I bought online like pregabalin and tramadol. I take zolpidem to sleep and I also have some fun time with it. Tramadol is giving me physical addiction, pregabalin are too good for me I have psychological addiction to it.
I try to take tolerance break. it's like having a flu but I know when I'll have flu and when does it go away.
I'm otaku. I like Japanese media of anime genre, not just Anime shows but also anime video game(such as touhou project I took my name from). I am autistic and these could probably be called my special interests. well, very typical one for Japanese autist.
Touhou is my favorite thing in universe. I take pregabalin and engage with touhou, I take Tramadol and fantasize about being with Touhou characters.

I am very curious person, I like to dive into internet. just anywhere so I can gather something I didn't know about or lesser known things I could get myself into.
Some day, I'd like to move to US so I have better access to substances which could be safer as long as I keep my oath to myself not to take hard drugs.

If you have question I could answer about it, whether it's about personal ones or something about japanese drug culture or what OTC are available here.

Ive always been curious about availability and recreational culture in japan. I know culturally drugs/addiction is looked down on heavily, but ive never really seen anything on like opiate addiction in japan and what its like for addicts.

Does the general populace really look down on drug use as heavily as people make it seem, and are "harder" drugs really that difficult to find. Here in the US you could drop me off just about anywhere and within a day id have a dope, crack and meth dealer.

Hello and welcome!!!I am also a fan of touhou and love medicine-chan too!!

Well is Etizolam really still in medical use ? In Japan, like it used to be in Italy.
It was that is known, its a very good [Thieno] Benzodiazepine.
Which is almost nowhere in use, despite that. Which imo is weird.

Etizolam, Diazepam, Clobazam, all very useful though the first not used.
Medically, over here ?

And i ll take my place in the row, as i def wanna visit Japan to.

Ever seen Mitsuo Yanagimachi's Godspeed You! Black Emperor (1976)?

This movie, always thought it was a band. Godspeed meaning:
"used to wish someone good luck when they are setting out on a journey" [WIKI]
'You Black Emperor', who is this character ? OK a bicycle Gang, cool.

That fragment is promising, thanks for the tip. Now i wanna watch it.
Good reason to read Bluelight, 'gather something I didn't know about'.

It's my understanding that Japan (alongside a lot of other Asian countries) can be quite strict on drugs, both legally and culturally. Is that impression correct, and if so, could you give me a ballpark estimate of the average sentence for possession of different commonly used substances?

Since you mentioned "otaku culture", do you play any jrpgs? If so, what's a good one to get really stoned and grind on? I played all of the persona games over the last couple of years, mostly while high and they were all quite enjoyable.

It was from the movie I learned of the band, story of my Life right there.

Ever seen the Movie "Enter The Void?"

If you are into drugs, tripping & Japanese Culture you have to watch this film. It is directed by Gaspar Noé who also did the Movie "Irréversible" which for anyone who has seen it the scene in the Gay Club that will be burned into your memory in the WORST possible way.

Japan has some of the worst Drug Laws on Earth, you can be hung for Heroin posession!!!!!!

Japan's drug laws are very strict, although not as strict as fellow Asian nations such as Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and China, where drug offenders can be executed. Japan is not one of the 35 countries that have the death penalty for drug offenses.

All students are urged to observe Japanese drug laws, which are rigorously and strictly enforced. The possession, receipt, use and sale of drugs, including marijuana, is subject to investigation by the Japanese customs and police authorities. Any student convicted of these crimes will be expelled from our program immediately.

Persons arrested in Japan, even for a minor offence, may be held in detention without bail for two to three months during the investigation and legal proceedings. Further, penalties for drug offences include lengthy imprisonment. Use or possession of small amounts of drugs may result in a prison sentence of between one and ten years and Japanese law allows for a fine of up to 5,000,000 yen. Some people convicted of drug related offences have been issued a deportation order. People deported under these circumstances are not permitted to return to Japan for five to ten years.

You should also be aware that Japanese authorities aggressively pursue drug smugglers with sophisticated detection equipment, drug-detecting dog, and other methods. Incoming and outgoing mail, as well as international packages sent via DHL or FEDEX, is also checked carefully. The Japanese police make arrests for even the smallest amounts of illegal drugs.

I'd recommend not doing any drugs in Japan. Incredibly Oldhead mentality of drug culture. If I had delta 8 in Japan they'd think I was smoking PCP. Its not even worth it because the drugs y'all got are boof and the consequences are boofer.
Zolpidem & pregabalin are cats and dog drugs 💀
Tramadol is slightly more potent than codiene. Japan also has notoriously bad bud.
Not worth doing any of that

Doesn't Japan have, like, and huge tradition of cannabis use (both medicinally and spiritually) dating back ages? I always thought it was wild how they 180'd.
