work is... almost more hassle than it's worth

a week ago someone stole the keys to our lockbox... didn't take anything in, just took our keychain and a lock.

over the weekend someone soaked a rag in xylene and shoved it in the gas tank of my dad's truck. thankfully it didn't blow

a couple weeks ago, the dudes painting the support beams were painting in the rain. they use a dry drop paint, turns to dust as it falls to the ground. when it gets rewet from rain, it sticks. so there's paint all over a bunch of cars in the parking lot next to where we're working

the company that lost the bid for doing the painting came in and made a bunch of ruckus that the old paint wasn't being disposed of right. the old paint is 1 ppm lead based, so you can usually just throw that in a dumpster (anything over 5 ppm has to be specially disposed of), but because this dude came in talking shit, DHEC has to come test the sand they used to sandblast the old paint off, test the new paint going on, all kinds of shit

there's a lot more going on, but i'd have to get into specifics of what we're doing, and i know you only asked to be polite, not that you give a shit lol

so yeah, tl;dr: work scks, but the pay is nice
