Of course you can mate. Your not in to deep, and you can always taper down. And off topic, are you a teacher, or did you repeat like 11 times? :p But you have the right mind set. I personally would love to nod on my couch for ever, but i'm too poor to to that. Oh, should i say, 8 days no drugs, cept nicotine and coffee. DXM got me through the worst of the w/ds and i'm still hanging out but not sick. It's up to us. Dosing every second day or once a day helps a lot too with tolernce. Soon as you can't get high off an ld50 its time to cut back or stop. Peace.

I doubt it, erosion. If you did, I don't think you'd notice.
As for the original question, I bounced around from heroin to oxy to dilaudid to fent, always IV, whatever was most cost effective to acquire at the moment for abit longer than 5 years. I found the easiest to handle kick was coming of using smack only for a long stretch. I found the pills to be worse, but it's possible the reason for that is perhaps the smack I was getting at that time wasn't the same quality as what other people on here are describing. I have been on Methadone 86mg daily for 6 months now and have been clean of everything else. My life has taken a drastic turn for the better, but I have experimented with what is to come if I stop taking the methadone, I stopped for 2 days and I felt that I hadn't even scratched the surface of what was to come, I felt a darkness encroaching more horrible and terrifying than anything I have ever experienced. So methadone wins, in my opinion.

Methadone w/ds take the cake over any other drug I've ever done hands down, and lucky me I'm riding that ride right now. That shit is Dr. Satan once you escape the house of 1000 corpses.

Oxy by far the worst. Body pain, no sleep, Kidney pain, GI Upset, RLS, skin hurt, sweating for about four to five days. (800mg a day x five years IV use)

HydroMorphone- no sleep for a few days, chills, GI upset. (20-40mg a day IV use)

Tramadol - RLS, no sleep (2000mg a day oral use)

I got too much into some methadone and fentanyl 100s when I was lucky enough to have both at the same time. Toasted on methadone and hitting fentanyl from a glass stem over and over. Then when I ran out, I was hallucinating thinking that I was a civil war soldier recovering somewhere in a hospital in the south. It was bad, the fentanyl WDs hit first and then the methadone. Wicked combo of the fastest opiate to clear out of your system and the longest lasting, I definitely did not think ahead about that one.

When I am going through bad opiate binges, it is basically anything I can get my hands on...so it is hard to call it withdrawing from one opiate. Like I'll smoke fent a few days, or eat a little morphine in there, but mostly do H or OC for the binge.

I guess the worse that I have had a fair amount of, and only that, would be Oxycodone. I feel like they all must be brutal as fuck, but OC is just so fucking depressing and painful.

Only from personal experience, I'd say Vicodin. I'm a virgin to everything else so I wouldn't know ;)

after going through the last month, xanax withdrawl is the worst of anything. Try coming off of 8 mgs a day cold turkey.

You're lucky to be alive after coming off that bad of a benzo habit cold-turkey!

I have a friend who's prescribed half of that who decided to try to go without his usual medication, and he ended up seizing badly enough that we had to call an ambulance.

Although this thread is about opiate WDs, I would think that benzo WD is definitly worse.

And from what I've heard, pertaining to the topic, the ultra-short duration opiates (fentanyl, hydromorphone) tend to have the worst WDs.

Don't let that change or else I can guarantee you that you will regret it.

I'm not preaching or anything, just, don't become a daily user of strong opiates for any reason other than medical necessity.

Hands down, Laudanum

That was my DOC - alcohol and opium. Made the stuff weekly from pods and everclear.

Thing is, alcohol is a catalyst for all kinds of opiate properties, to where opiates alone and alcohol alone wouldn't cut it.

I needed both.

ive expierienced more physical pain from withdraw of oxycotin than from any other opiate, more body pain( lower back pain) and nausea. never realy had withdraw from any other opiate other than heroin which for me the only hard part was the chills and mentaly only thinking about getting high

Agreed, apart from two trips to the toilet to barf, the WD's from a 14 day(160mg a day) oxy binge were MUCH worse than a 90 day heroin(snorted) binge....odd...I don't find WD's to be the worst thing in the world, hell I even lose some weight like I would with the real flu, so I don't fear them as much as most do...but yeah, at times, especially when one can't sleep, it can be pure hell.

i just say pods because during supply times back in the old days one could really sustain a super pure high quality stem of goodies in ones blood for cheap and right to ya door, no street crime, no yearnings for other opies, they kept me from drinking, it all balanced out, can work forever, perfect opiate, don't want a rush because the two hour floating creepy comeup period is so much more zesty, like the first few sips of alcohol but for hours, patting you on the back saying how very alright it all really is, isn't it? and then they change your entire brain/body chemistry, and after detoxing 20/30 times over the years your body now belongs to Morphea, at least that's when you feel fine. But she's a more fun misteress that Death.

But fact is everyone knows it's methadone, shits half life and zingy natural drives one to double the amount and frequently reup with any other substance to get the done-drone, which is why it is the single biggest killing drug in the world.

I put heroin but was shocked at how high the methadone % was, I'd add people do need to take pods seriously, I use them maybe twice a week but if I was doin them everyday with all thats in them Im sure they'd be hell,, but yeah,, very informative poll.. From it I'd probably now rather use weaker opiates like DHC, pods, Bupes and Tramadol to withdraw should I ever get hooked again,,, luckily enough I could only ever score Smack a few times a year nowhere near where I live now, which was a true blessing,, if I knew where to get it locally I'd have a hell of a time,, its a piece of advice I give to anyone if they ask about it,,, it's just too good to have access to 24/7

this is gonna sound strange, but for me the worst wd is from buprenorphine. ive kicked H several times. i had a gram a day habit (100 dollars) and even that wasnt really that bad.

the wd from bupe isnt that intense but it NEVER STOPS....EVER. eventually the anxiety gets so bad and i lose like 10lbs from not eating, my sense of smell makes the scent of the old woman next door so overpowering i want to kill her and vomit at the same time. it gets so so bad. i lost a gf that way. it takes months and im still going through paws. wicked fucking shit. cant belive im saying this but id take heroin wd over subxone wd any day.

Having minor methadone withdrawals now, after drinking all my take homes in 1day ,with 3 days to go before i get some more. I think once you have done your 1st WD, any afterwards are going to be far worse , as mentally you will notice the symtoms a lot more and a lot earlier. I know when ive been opiate free and a minor cold that i used to shrug off ,can remind me of Wd , so its far worse than a cold was before i ever experienced opiates.

From personal experience methadone, but this was also combined with alcohol and benzo withdrawal. Needless to say a Horrific time was had by all. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.

"but for me the worst wd is from buprenorphine"

I agree that bupe Wd's arent allways that easy, especially if you have underlying depression/anxiety , which bupe can help with. more psychlogical than physical WD's with the bupe IME

You're a stronger person than many of us for even getting through this to be sure. That's probably what I would come up with, were I to try to imagine the worst possible physical addiction.

Can I ask what doses of benzos you were using, and which, and if you experienced seizures?
