Haha my diploma is sitting in my trunk right now.
But yeah dude, good for you, feels good huh?
You NEVER have to go to school again! (If you don't want to that is, but I hope you're gonna go to college)
And whenever you are on campus again you can be like "I GRADUATED THIS BEEZY"
 
Congratulations. Seriously, don't beat yourself up about the time it takes. I know very few people who complete it in the 3-4 years. And, you want it to be excellent, not just satisfactory. :)

Sounds like there might be a group of kindred PhD student types around here (+1)!
 
Handed it in yesterday afternoon at about 3pm :) I'm free :):):) well depending on the results from the markers anyway ;)

Yeah Tronica, I'm not really beating myself up too much... I know I could have finished it about a year ago if I'd pulled my finger out and actually worked... too much lazy and facebook, not enough commitment and focus, but hey, it's done now :):)
 
I'm looking forward to feeling what you are feeling. Only way out is through, right?! :)

And are you looking to continue in a research career or do you have other plans... after the celebrations that is!
 
I wouldn't mind going into academia, but before I do that I'll need, and I want some industrial experience. So I'll head out to the real world for a while and see what happens :)

(for me, my phd leads straight to research... not sure if it has other practical applications - apart from heading into policy/government... nah!)

What classes are you taking in Sping 2010?

Biology 1, Biology 2, Intro to Philosophy, and General Chemistry one.

:) I'm actually excited for this. I dropped out of my Respiratory Therapy internship so now I am only enrolled in one class this semester - Microbiology. Which isn't a bad class but it's an Independent study and I learn a lot better being taught something, then trying to teach myself...
 
I have to retake a chemistry class so I can transfer it to another program, and then I am debating between taking an online web design course, General Psychology or a General Health course.
 
Typology and Universals, Language Planning and Policy, Computational Linguistics, and Indo European :) one more semester after that and I'll have a masters =D
 
english 101, math 098, psychology, sociology.....idfk why i got placed so damn low in english and math (had to take english 099 and math 094 this semester) because I was in calculus and honors english my senior year with A's.....maybe the hangover I had during the compass test messed me up 8)
