Is it safe to take ecstasy 2 days before surgery?

Im going to a festival on the sunday and then am going to have surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed on the tuesday! (i am going to hospital and will be totally under for the operation.)
Will the exstacy taken on the sunday affect my surgery at all?

yeh tru! but its a festival haha i cant really abstain! i could always change the surgury date but i really dont want to do this, as i will have to wait an extra 2 months or so! However, i was more concerned about the ecstasy interacting with the anesthesia??

Well I highly doubt that it would effect the anesthesia especially because theres no way any remaining mdma would still be in your body but I wouldnt want to have an immune system lowered when your going to have sewed wounds in your mouth.

and make sure that there aint no rat sack in your biccies, that shit acts as a blood anti-coagulant, it works the same as warfarin by decreasing the production of certain factors required in the clotting cascade, meaning, you bleed for longer. also, if u have a big day dont take any aspirin to kill that headache, that too will make u bleed longer once them teeth get ripped out.

i spoke to a dentist about this a while ago and the concerns were more about deregulating your immune system, dehydration affecting recovery.

when you take stuff it does deregulate your immune, system and generally wear you down anyway, so that combined with dehydration would affect your recovery considerably. i would suggest that if you are going to go and take stuff anyway that it is much less than you would usually take- just enough to get the affects.

alot of people forget about the amount of fun you can have with the subtle affects you get from taking small amounts of substances.
just enougn to keep you awake and dancing while not being so trashed you can laugh at your gurning mates and watch the funny faces they pull

Id like to add, if you had to end up dropping biccies (although I wouldnt recommend it as youre going for an operation) is to make sure you look after yourself, eat the day you drop and the next day, keep hydrated, maybe even take vitamins etc to try lesson the tole on your immune system.

I know when I use to pop every weekend the weekends I didnt eat at all because i wasnt really hungry left me feeling like shit on monday but if I kept my 6 meals a day even if I popped the recovery would be alot easier.

So yea IMO if you end up dropping make sure you try and eat even if you have to force yourself. Last thing you want to do it drop your biccies, dont eat that night, following day because youre to scat and go to surgery with your body in the worse shape then it should be

My teeth are fuked from all the clenching and gurning. Actually my whole inside of my mouth hurts n jaw is pretty sore from last nite lol

I doubt there will be any huge dramas, I would say not to if it was a big operation or something but wisdom teeth isn't a huge deal. Obviously the op isn't fun but your not in any form of danger and I don't see why the E would cause this. It doesn't interact with any common anesthesia that I am aware of BUT it is not an area I have read extensively on or anything.

take it really easy on the drugs, you don't want an interaction with whatever they give you to put you under. I'm serious you could be playing with your life. They stop your lungs breathing and breath for you with a pipe when you go under you realise? Its quite serious.

Have the minimum you need, and maybe stick to booze instead, or use alcohol to supplement whatever you are taking.

Common sense (and HR) says, delay the surgery, or don't take ecstacy. Now if... IF!!!!!... you knew it was 100% MDMA we here could help you. However ecstasy is (very very) rarely 100% MDMA, so there is no way anyone here can objectively answer your question with yes.

I remember I was a bit of a an idiot the night before I got my wisdom teeth out, had to go on a huge mission to get some h so rocked up for my operation with no sleep and wrecked on h, silly me

I just spoke to the anesthesiologist before I went in, told him what I was on...he was a bit deaf though and I ended up having to yell it out to the whole waiting room, haha, got a few funny looks.

Didn't seem to be a problem though, but obviously it's a different drug. I would just make sure you talk to them before you go in and let them know what you've done.

A lot of them will deny you the procedure as they don't want to risk their job, low chance anything could go wrong but if it does they are liable.
