I literally said in the post you're quoting that both sides lie and are full of propaganda...

I was just addressing the post I was replying to. If he had brought up the fact that there are magically all of these videos of dead palestinian kids popping up - I'd point out that it seems either staged or like Hamas instructed residents to stay where they were - knowing that there would be child casualties that they could video and post for their own propaganda machine.

Again for the record. I do not support what Hamas has done. Full stop. I don't think that what they're doing is going to set the Palestinian people free. In fact, very much the opposite. At the same time I can see that we are being fed spoonfuls of bullshit by Israel (as well as Hamas/Palestine) and I don't think how they've treated the Palestinian people for many years has been helpful towards a meaningful solution.

I was just pointing out that if Rape and child murder is the metric for labeling a whole group of people savage animals and inhuman then yes the population of USA is less than human.

If you were to point out that the KKK were animals you'd just be wrong. Because they are humans with idiotic beliefs.

Furthermore - If you don't want roving gangs of men to go around chimping out raping women and killing your children - maybe don't force them to live in open air zoos - with fewer resources than your worst kept wildlife preserves.

Hamas is a terrorist organization who believes their religion gives them the freedom to rape and kill their enemies. We've seen the same thing with ISIS and other groups. They have an ideology and a goal. So I can safely call them animals with no regret.

The United States is a secular nation that, despite it's many problems, stands for decency and is compromised of mostly decent people.

So when I asked if I called the KKK animals, would it be dehumanizing all Americans... that was me making the point that when I call a group of people with a well known set of values (who coincidentally happen to be a certain nationality) animals, it doesn't follow that I'm dehumanizing the entire nation.
 
In 2021 only 53% of Palestinians supported Hamas. Last evening i went to dinner and walked past a large group of Palestinians screaming death to the Jews. Get you sht out of Canada.

Ok so if we are being literal, human beings are animals. Obviously.

I can't believe I have to explain to you that calling humans animals is a rhetorical device meant to show distaste for those people's idiotic beliefs.

Just seems like we're engaging in petty semantic games when my intent was clear.

I just think it does more harm than good to try and put down a group of people or make them seem inferior for how they were raised in this world. What I've found to be more useful is to see how we are more alike than not and try and build from there.

Tell me it's rape and child murder. Then go look up the stats on U.S. military rape and child murder dating back to Viet Nam. Hell - we can't even stop raping our own soldiers.... Maybe it's the attempted overthrowing of an installed government? Or would it be their indiscriminate bombings? Hmmm.

So you condemn the actions of Hamas then tacitly absolve them of any culpability.

What kind of fucking clown world am I living in? It's considered bad now to "put down" terrorists and make them feel inferior? Isn't that what we are supposed to do?

I wonder how the millions of Palestinians (who live under the same conditions) who don't rape and murder get by?

lol, I can't say I for certain that I would. I don't live in those conditions and I've been brought up differently is all I'm saying.

Well, calling it getting by is certainly a stretch.

EDIT: If I had to guess - there are still people raised in those conditions that believe in love and compassion and can see that the answer is not in violence / hate / differentiating themselves. They probably see the other side as human and not Animals.
