Mental Health Coming off Invega (Paliperidone, Xeplion) injections v 6.0

I've come off invega twice and it felt amazing but afterwards I get into some kind of trouble and they put me back on it.

Even before the last 2 times I got off invega was the time I got off risperidone and also got myself into trouble which led to invega for about 3 years until I carefully got off it. But not careful enough.

I'm back on it now again.

Yeah I’ve been back on Abilify Maintena 400 mg for about 6 months now and lithium carbonate 1200 mg as well and this shit sucks but I plan on staying on it for about another year and a half and then I will come off for good. Abilify Maintena is just about as bad as a high dose of Invega Sustenna

I remember I was on Abilify Maintena and the difference between Invega Sustenna and Abilify were that on Abilify I could still feel music, and walk fast and workout pretty good and stuff once I switched to Invega Sustenna I could barley walk up a hill and couldn’t workout at all, couldn’t feel music. Nothing. I don’t think they’re similar at all except the hunger profile. Both caused extreme hunger.

I didn’t get hungry at all while taking Invega Sustenna. With Abilify I eat normally but can’t feel music like I used to before I started taking the antipsychotics. Can’t really get emotional either. And I can’t stand up as straight as I used to could either. But everybody’s brain and body chemistry is different and how certain drugs affect them. But I will say if I was just taking the Abilify Maintena without the lithium then I could get high on weed but only taking edibles. Smoking it doesn’t work or it didn’t as of last summer

For me, Xeplion caused lack of appetite.
I guess it's different for everybody...

Abilify akathesia starting to subside from around month 2 off inj. Also less inner restlessness becomes less 2 months off injection...at first the injection completely crashed my libido and "love life" after a month or so it turned me into a sexual hypermaniac for a few weeks now thats starting to subside. It creates wild swings in hormonal levels it made me gain more weight than invega. Abilify also gave me watery yellow semen and shit makes one infertile just like invega.

First improvements off invega was month 4 (sexually and akathesia)
first improvement off abilify month 2 (same thing)

Yeah while taking oral meds 5mg daily which is low eventually it will be 2.5mg...im 2 months off the shot and the first month (of 2 months) didn't took any meds.I never fully recovered from invega before getting shot with abilify, i never recovered my emotions like pre invega. I will journal in this thread recovery and improvements
 
Yeah I think it’s gonna take a long time for my dick to recover. I’ve been on some sort of antipsychotic since March of 2020. Invega,Loxapine,another one and now I’ve been on Abilify Maintena pretty much since June of 2021. When I came off of Abilify Maintena for 3 months last summer I felt great

Ouch that sucks...dick sensitivity and orgasm intensity are hallmarks of recovery. On invega every few months dick impovements usually mean other improvements as well...its just easier to measure dick improvements.
Hope you can get off medications altogether
From what ive read first abilify improvements happen at day 90 to 120 and others happen around month seven

Yeah I will man. I just gotta be patient and wait until the right time for me. I appreciate you keeping us updated on this forum about your recovery. I’ll be popping in and out to check on it. Last summer on month 3 off of the Abilify Maintena shot my intelligence was coming back and I could enjoy music again like I used to. But next time I come off of it it’ll be for good

I'm almost 6 months off Xeplion, no other meds so far. Let's see where it goes, it doesn't look like it's gonna get better from here but we'll see...
Dick issues are just one aspect of the side effects caused by this drug, I also have anhedonia, lack of patience (improved a little), speech problems, belly, lack of focus and more.

From month 6 invega gets alot easier at this point its crucial to have a healthy raw food, protein rich diet and walk as much as you can every day month 7 my belly started shrinking and the weight loss started this went on until month 8. Speech improved for me at month 10

I do watch my diet tho. I became vegan 3 months ago, I also avoid gluten and refined bullshit as much as possible.
 
One of the worst things about these drugs is the sedentary effects of them, especially when you’ve been a go go to person your whole life. It’s super annoying!

Old people's problems in 20 year old body, that's sad.
Impotence, lack of focus, speech problems, I feel like a 90 year old with dementia.
