Covid-19 The New Covid Megathread v.Oh-my-cron!

they literally take 20% initally from the payment they even send you. Then gst is 15% on everything. If you drive petrol tax is like 100% doubles the price of what petrol should even be. its over 2.80 a litre at the moment.

Its fucking retarded why tax the social welfare payment. That literally is just sending out moeny then taking it back instantly trying to look good on a international stage to other people who don't realize you get taxed most of those payments lol
lol that is so fucking dumb I can't stop laughing.
Just imagine the bureaucracy involved, for nothing :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The issue most don't get about "free healthcare", is that it's usually not free,
it's taken from the money you earn, or provided for you if you don't have a job/don't earn a certain threshold of money(1600€ a month is the threshold here I think) - in which case the state will pressure you into achieving said threshold by threatening /w penalties to the money you get from them.
But as long as you earn money, you pay for the 'free' healthcare, every month no matter if you're sick or not. I've been paying health care for 12 years now without ever getting sick enough to visit a doc - that's 26.000€ I paid for absolutely nothing.

Also most meds are not free, in truth they're pretty expensive most of the times. "Free healthcare" isn't all it's cracked up to be

It's much cheaper than the healthcare the USA provides of course, because it's universal healthcare, and there's no choice(at least here). You need to be ensured, there's no option not to be.

That is how insurance systems work, whether they appear 'free' upfront through the state or whether you or your employer pay directly to some private company. In either case, it's a means of spreading costs more evenly throughout your life. For most people, for most of their life, they'll need very little healthcare. Then one day, they'll be in a car crash or have a heart attack or something like that and they'll suddenly cost the healthcare system huge sums of money. Very few would happen to just have a $250-$500k lying around to spend - hence a lifetime of insurance premiums or equivalent (taxes etc). And in most countries, the vast majority (over 50% ) of health spending is on people over 65, so your perspective on value for money will naturally shift as you age and start to require ever more support.

Democrats have been giving me blue balls for years.

"Yeah... You want some of this government aid and reasonable progressive changes?... I bet you do... Tax reform? Yeah baby I got all that and more for you..."

Fucking tease and never deliver.

Meanwhile Republicans just lie straight to your face, they don't even give a fuck.

I seem to have contracted Covid but at present it is impossible to get either a Rapid Antigen Test or a PCR test without queing for hours. The news says there are something like 20,000 positive cases in my state daily now since most restrictions removed.

However, I’m not 100 % certain my symptoms are not from my booster dose of Moderna around a week ago. I felt pretty crook after that but I did also take quite a lot of acid the next day AND go for a long hike with my mad dog in the noonday sun.

3 days later I felt mostly ok.

5 days later I woke up could not get put of bed for major headache, aching bones, glands/lymph nodes inflamed in neck, and shortness of breath. I spent close to 36 hours in bed dosing myself with various sedatives each time I woke up.

Now 7 days later I feel like I have moderate dose of the flu but am going to take the dog for a 5 mile walk (with mask on in inhabited areas) anyway after I dose up on paracetomol and drink a lot of freshly squeezed vegetable juice.

I do suspect I got Omicron but the 2 Astra Zeneca vax doses plus 1 Moderna booster I got made the impact far shorter and milder than it could have been. I also suspect that the Moderna booster had unpleasant side effects.

Sadly, these are just hyptheses though as I cannot prove anything. I am now concerned about Long Covid and look forward to doing a V02 test and ECG in a few weeks to compare against a pre-Covid baseline.

Everybody ive talked to who had it the last couple of weeks, all had night sweats....did you get the night sweats too? none of them had a cough either and they also all had a sore throat...and it was all within the last 2 weeks....

and about 2 weeks ago, i had something but it was super light....like i had a swollen gland in my neck and i just kept feeling run down...it went on for about a week...was it covid, i have no idea, i didn't bother to get tested

how ya feeling now?

I'm sorry that you're ill, hope you recover fast.
The symptoms of Omicron are a runny nose, headache, fatigue (mild or severe), sneezing, sore throat.
So it doesn't seem to be just Omicron messing with you if that's what you have.

I'm not mocking him.

My point is this: maybe you guys are scaring the shit out of people?

There are a lot of vulnerable people in the world who cannot adequately differentiate between truth and fiction. If you feed them a constant stream of conspiratorial nonsense about shady evil governments forcibly injecting the world with nanobots and shit... well, it's not going to do them much good. Particularly if their mental health isn't good to begin with. Obviously the same can be said for lockdowns. My mental health was really bad for a while there.

Nobody who isn't insane to begin with is lighting themselves on fire.

So, you're also going to blame the unvaccinated for what the government is doing, huh?

Congrats on playing right into their hands.

Trudeau recently held a presser in Quebec and asked [verbatim] "do we tolerate these people?" in reference to the unvaccinated.

None of the unvaccinated are forcing you to wear masks, present your vaccine passport, or threaten you with arrest for non-compliance in lockdown curfews.

The crisis has already passed in places that ended restrictions, the only reason we still have a crisis is because the government refuses to end restrictions. It has literally nothing to do with the unvaccinated, we're just the chosen scapegoat for the government's failure to deal with the pandemic effectively.

So, you're also going to blame the unvaccinated for what the government is doing, huh?

Congrats on playing right into their hands.
Huh? The government is not spreading fear.... ??

Look at all the scary theories and perceived danger... It's all coming from people. Antivaxx people. They're the only ones who perceive "covid statistics" as.. something to be afraid of.

Antivaxxers are the ones spreading all of the fear, yet keep saying the government is trying to scare people into getting vaxxed.. when all they are doing is posting very real statistics.

Playing into the hands of what? What's their endgame? To get everyone vaccinated? I totally agree with that 👍

Hysteria.

We're the least afraid people in this situation. Unafraid of a vaccine, unafraid of covid after vaccine, unafraid of some grand conspiracy theory.

I'm chillin dude 😎, compared to some of y'all

Eric W. Dolan is a wise man, I know him well, you should take what he writes as fact

EU police force have gunned down mandate protestors making african diactors look tame.
I read the above and prepared for hitlers next stand. Terrifying. African dictators usually wipe out whole villages and tribes. Not sure how the two are compared. My bad. Just seemed a stretch ime.
3 dutch people were killed

Thanks @Mr. Krinkle and @Phobos. I appreciate the kind words and the information. Unbelievably I went to Coles today and they had home-tests in stock. Just arrived a few hours ago. Turns out I’m Covid negative. But I do have a pretty ugly cold sore / herpes blister on my lip emerging. I usually feel really crook in the day or two before they become apparent - so that might explain the aches and general lethargy and really sore lymph nodes in my neck. Doesn’t explain my shortness of breath though. And I’ve still got that.

I would have bet against Covid because I had no runny nose, sneezing or sore throat - but after the booster shot I wasn’t sure how a ‘mild’ dose would manifest if I picked it up.

Seems safe enough to get high now on the last day of the holidays. News Years Resolutions and work start on the 4th.

That shortness of breath might be a worrying symptom, the NHS website says it might be a symptom of myocarditis due to the vaccine, and that most cases resolve themselves without medical help.
I'd stay away from any type of stimulant if I were you? Unless you can talk to a doctor and he says a few lines are ok since you're going to be straight as an arrow from the 4th.:ROFLMAO:

Looking at the $600,000 settlement tweet (probably not true) however, if the population was allowed to sue the makers of these vaccines like we can, food producers, etc. The vaccine hesitancy would drop to 5%. Most of us would accept risk as long as those forcing it on us accepted it back 100%.

When you force the government to legislate against you backing your product I can't see how anyone has allowed that. "Trust us, we didnt pee in it", but for real we guarantee nothing and all risk is on you and you are forced.

Edit:

Wanted to add, this isn't me pointing at a conspiracy, these are just facts. Epic insanity on a world scale.
