Maybe we can just 86 covid here and get back to the drugs?
Feeling the same rift and it is quite disturbing to me. The one place I feel "at home" and it is becoming one more on a long list of fight or flight responses I get when there is a bunch of contention and disrespect of others perspectives.
We need to find that loving feeling of yesterday and hold on for dear life maybe this is the last bastion of sanity (ironically).

I got THE MODERNA and asked for two more on top of that. My belief it's probably slightly effective because now with the Delta Variant IF and I say IF there really is a variant??? My trust is take somebody just about at death's door with Covid inject them and they recuperate fast; I shall be all arms and ready to get it too.

I actually felt really good when I got the first shot and tired with the second..... Felt nothing after that.

I am really sorry that I made you feel that way @Xorkoth . You are like a brother to me.
I have not known what has been happening around here as I have been busy with other things and just returned.
I’m really worried for The World.
I feel very protective over you all here and if anyone or anything was to intentionally harm you it would make the pain unbearable for me.
I really hope I am wrong and everything is good with this vaccine.

We all do just want what is best for one another.
Nothing is worth having any type of hard feeling or hurt feeling with you all here.
Things have become so confusing.
It cannot be denied that there has been an Agenda to divide us.
Let’s not let them do it.
We never cared if any of us had different views or dislikes, likes before.
I don’t care now.
I care about your safety and well being.
It certainly isn’t getting us anywhere to be divided.

I think we should agree to disagree on this subject and take it as it comes.
Everyone make the choice that is best for them, it is a gamble either way and let’s just make sure we stay free along the way.

Sometimes I take breaks from CEPS because it's fucking intense and can be upsetting. Fortunately there are a bunch of other subforums where we don't encounter this same difficulty.

It is kinda like I have been on the other side of this argument like @Xorkoth was saying and that is what they all (family and friends) kept doing to me.

literally where in my post did i say that? please quote it.

do you know anything about the treatments for covid? literally this is a new disease so at the start everything was experimental, they were just throwing spaghetti at a wall and seein what stuck. even now, the treatments are more experimental than the vaccines, because fewer have been administered.

also i love this 'experiment' narrative- you realise that were that to be a valid narrative (which it is not) you are still part of it, you're the control group? were this an experiment, it would have been halted by now on ethical grounds and the control group would have received a vaccine.

i am doing everything i can not to become one. vaccinating massively reduced that probability. including still wearing a mask and sanitising my hands frequnently despite being double vaxxed and you can fucking bet i'll get my booster if needed. cos i don't want potentially killing people on my conscience unless i know i damn well did everything i could.

i am now watching it for good measure but i'm unsure as to what i'm supposed to get from it. he's not a scientist, politician, ethicist- i'm just not seeing what qualifies him to speak over, say me or any other random on the street.

his language is loaded. it is not fucking tyranny. i fucking love it when americans with no sense of history bring out tyranny. i am directly descended from people who lived under actual tyranny- the nazis and the soviets. its fucking offensive to my history and that of every other person descended from people forced to live without basic freedoms.

fuck sake, he should just quit. sorry. i'm 3 mins in, its getting boring and repetitive already. if he says anything useful in the further 9 mins can you please precis it if you'd like us to discuss further.

I had to take a break from BL for a bit (couldn't be helped and super surprised I was able to return so quickly... thought it would take a year or more.
I would avoid CEPS like the plague cause of my hard-wired responses to the confusion caused by the wonderful world of political sorcery that we are undated with every second of our wondrous lives.
Upon tentative re-entry to this world I call home I poked around in here and it revealed a darker side that I have habitually treated as a non issue most of my life (ignore it it goes away). Never works in my life and there is no reason to believe it would happen here.
But, yeah, thanks for reintroducing this to me and will curtail my visits to ceps as before in hopes of not growing more disillusioned of the real love we have for each other.

I've just had my 2nd shot of the Astra-zeneca and I feel fuckin amazing. It's like I've had a shot of speed. This happened on the first dose as well, but I put it down to coincidence.

I'm now up for as many boosters as they can give...



Edit: I even said to the nurse that I was looking forward to my dose because I felt so good last time. I don't think she believed me, but who cares. I know how I feel...

Hey all look for the unity insteaad of division. It is families that fight. Because we care. Everyone has a vision of how the world should be, except there are a billion of us so that many perspectives. This is a good thread. Arguments, make ups, we all move ahead.

I go on 9/9 for my second Pfizer. Had no side effects at all with the first one.

It has been a strange argument. When do we consider ourselves separate and free and when do we unify and become the human race and do things as a whole?. It is a valid divide so discussing it is interesting to me

That's fine - i'm ok with being in the "control group" if that's what you wanna call it....it's better than the lying holier than thou finger-pointing group that thinks they're immune to covid when theyre not

so you're the same reservoir as me, but your view is that im willing and you're not willing, even tho, you're still the same

we're all the same...

Variants with antibody-resistant mutations are playing an ever-larger role in our highly vaccinated region’s pandemic, according to research by prominent virologist Dr. Charles Chiu.

His team found that 78% of infections in fully vaccinated people among the study were caused by variants with these mutations, compared to 48% of the cases among unvaccinated people, who remained an easier target for earlier generations of the virus. Overall, the proportion of cases linked to these variants more than doubled between February and June.

However, vaccinated people who do have symptoms had the same levels of virus as infected unvaccinated people – so can spread the virus. This confirms a finding first revealed weeks ago by a CDC study in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

“You’re essentially as infectious as someone who was unvaccinated,” he said.
