My second shot is scheduled for this Saturday. I'll be honest, I'm a bit nervous about it. Everyone I know has gotten pretty sick from it, and I'm in such a good routine lately. I'll just have to hope for the best.
The entire CEP&S team will reach full immunity two weeks from Sunday! My arm was sore for a couple days but other than that I was good! Maybe a little more tired than usual. Totally worth it and I'm relieved knowing I'm fully protected now.
So I got my first shot but idk if I’m getting my second to be honest... I felt a weird dissociation for awhile after my first. It was hard to drive for a couple days when I need to be able to.. Yea sure it seems temporary and would probably be the second time too but not sure I wanna feel that way with what I got going on not long after the second is scheduled.
One thing I’m curious, if the first shot is around 80% effective for Moderna why would people still go for JnJ at 66%?
I think 80% is good for me, my immune system got a taste and that’s what I was after. I’m not someone who plans on getting shots every year even if that turns out to be the reality of the situation.

I think someone wants me dead. I've not even been offered the first yet...
Are you not registered with a GP maybe? I got my first jab offered at the beginning of Feb lol.
Yes, I am. The fucker is obviously not registered with me...
Gatdamn, that's grounds to stamp your feet and get angry and irate. Like a real grumpy old man is entitled to, imo
But also, contact the surgery and make them humbly grovel asap

The E.U. has been exceedingly generous and has been supplying a good part of the world with vaccines. We are getting most of our vaccines from the E.U.The US is doing really well; surprisingly the EU (considering it's huge manufacturing capacity and potential) isn't.
I got my second shot yesterday, and fuck, the side effects were pretty rough honestly. It started in the night, around 3 in the morning or so. Woke up sweating and soaked, chills, like I had the flu basically. My arm was so sore that I couldn't sleep on that arm without horrible pain. I woke up this morning, still feeling a little off and my temp was 98.5 (though mine's usually 96 point something or even 95 point something when I first wake up). The feverish feeling has more or less gone away now, and I essentially feel normal for the most part. Last night was horrendous though. I've never had anything like this from a vaccine though, any vaccine. This was the first time I ever had a shot that actually got me sick.
I'm hoping because I already had Covid-19 mine will be similar to this, although it was back in March that I had it so who knows how that will factor in with the antibodies I currently have/had.
I think you and my soon to be ex-wife are the only people I know who reported mild symptoms - she just had a period of really bad sweating.
I'll find out soon enough![]()
Not sure where you are located but I have gotten my 1st shot (Moderma sp?) and am close to my 2nd shot....I am not a senior nor a first responder so I had to wait but as soon as they opened to vaccine to everyone (besides kids) it was not hard...in fact my pharmacy sought me out to get it done.....EASY PEASY....only a day or two of soreness in my arm....otherwise feel fine. You should really add choice for those who have wanted to be vaccinated but were not able to.![]()
