Misc The most damaging drugs over time

Ketamine REALLY fucks up your bladder, i am not so sure about other dissociatives though.
on a local forum theres a story of a guy, who would IM ketamine and in about 1-2 years(iirc) he was experiencing extreme bladder pain, he described it as having to go pee every 15 minutes, and after peeing it was just 15 minutes buildup of pain before peeing again.
i'd say Cocaine Alcohol and MDMA are the 3 worst if done over 30 years, the alcohol would heavily depend on what kind of drinking you would be doing, drinking strong beer and liquor will fuck up your liver in a matter of 1-2 years, but having a few normal beers everyday (even was the standard 50 years ago where im from) it would take much longer for you to experience hardcore damage to your body

Right? I've met people with the Steve-O hole in their nasal wall (that the correct term?) from snorting to much speed (among other things).

It's really fucking corrosive and you feel it after awhile.

Meth and alcohol i can attest to that. Been only doing meth for a month and my body is way worse than the 30 something years of drinking and other drugs. Today I had to stop because I was up all night with chest tightness and stomach pain that made me sick, dizzy and cramping that fucken sucks! I'm weaning down off alcohol because doing both at once without dying is impossible. I did alcohol detox in the past and had anxiety so bad that I ended up in the ER with pancreatitis and dts so bad almost had a seizure. Medical detox is the only way for long time drunk. And I have heart disease, copd digestive problems and damage to my kidneys when I go on a bender. I'm hoping I can not have Meth withdrawal too bad because I only did it for a month and been only using 1/4 g every two day lately. We'll see

I’m sure I left some out sorry.

I think benzos should be higher and alcohol a 10, but otherwise I mostly agree.

Yeah I wasn't quite sure where to put some gabaergics because benzos will royally fuck you up but a lot of the time its not physically obvious just by looking at that person

When you get my age and have physical problems and can't do simple yard work shit and can't work you look for things that can help instead of sitting on my ass like a worthless piece of shit. Shit I do hydrocodone too and after a while 3 pills don't even clear any pains.

I was thinking the glue they get in like Colombia must be pretty good if its so rampant maybe I should try to source some
I also, in 2000, had a bunch of “villager” friends who worked in a paint producing factory.

Well, they had their heads in those vats all day lol. Paint fumes can also be quite psychoactive.

However, the first and wisest principle in general, used often with regard to treatment, is- do no harm.

Glue of any sort, paint etc, it really cannot be healthy.

I’ve no idea how common glue sniffing is these days but I encountered glue sniffers numerous lay in the dog walking type areas.

They were freaky. Like, lost plot. Frankenstein like. Being in a k hole is one thing, but glued out of your senses, walking round mumbling nothingness is way more conspicuous, intimidating and alarming, IMO.

I say that because one time I drank a good bottle of wine, snorted 2 grams of ketamine over night, left home to visit Tesco for more wine, to catch up with friends on way to other friends.

I was on my bike. And thank god because it became my walking frame lol!

By time I reached Tesco, I realised I couldn’t possibly go into the store. I was K holing heavily.

I took a detour, a long public path.

Oh man, I looked FUCKED, using my bike to just bout stay on my feet, ambling like a heavy drunk at 1 mph.

A dad and young daughter passed me quickly. I hated feeling I would cause him worry but he was gone quick.

I started getting it together, went round a corner towards Tesco’s carpark and the main road I deterrred from.

It was a phenomenally gusty day. Twice the wind blew me full over, bike too, in such comical style.

Once in between the dual carriageway on a small concrete middle, in front of loads of cars lol.

I made it to my friend”s house. Messy though.

But still, long way from those freaky unpredictable glue sniffers.

Glue is not a drug I would recommend. If you want to try something different I would like to suggest Kava? I can always advise on easy best worldwide options etc.

Life is overrated? Lol. Or rather, living. We cling to it so bad. Freddie Mercury said in lyric...”This world has only, one sweet moment, set aside...for us”

Death could be epic. Which would be swell. Who knows. I keep my fingers crossed.
Death is the road to awe.

You should watch this movie if you haven't seen it. It's great.

Alcohol is at the top due to both the mental and physical turmoil it puts your body and mind into.
Followed by Meth and pyrovalerones due to how addictive they are, how easily and quickly they can trigger psychosis, and how much havoc they wreak over a small period of time.
I feel like benzos are also ranked up there pretty high. I mean the fact that not being able to cop for a couple days can be deadly, mixed with the poor life decisions made while under the influence. They probably wont cause as many noticeable consequences right up front, but they are damn hard to get off of and extended use really messes up your brain. I suppose that could be said for anything though

I'd imagine neurotoxic hydrocarbons are worse than 7.5 xD

Is this 7.5 number from personal experience?
I guess it's a relative scale.

I can't rank the other ones, there are just way too many factors.
Realistically speaking, there are very few drugs that wouldn't cause serious physical and/or psychological damage when abused every single day for 30 years, it's a pretty extreme scenario.

Alcohol is obviously pretty damaging, but there are many hardcore alcoholics who are still alive (sometimes barely) after decades of abuse. How many people have been abusing IV cocaine for 30 years? Probably very few, they either died, slowed down or quit.

MDMA is an interesting example, most people know it's relatively safe when used somewhat responsibly.
Meth, on the other hand, has a pretty bad stigma and many people view it almost as nothing more than a neurotoxin. But the truth is that MDMA would cause significantly more neurotoxicity if you were to use it everyday.

Judging from the comments it seems everyone has their own opinion on which drug they think is the worst of them all.

There isn't a single worst drug, the dose makes the poison. (except when it comes to endocrine disruptors, those are often worse at medium doses)

Yeah, sedatives are generally safer than stimulants if we consider such extreme scenarios. GHB is one of the safest drugs out there, you could probably use it indefinitely without harming your body, as long as you don't run out... Otherwise it might kill you in less than 24h (or give you severe brain damage).

Also, chronic psychedelic use (5-HT2B agonists) has been linked to severe heart valve disease. It's probably not nearly as cardiotoxic as chronic cocaine use, but it's not harmless either.
