My genuine thoughts? A Nevada county's Republican committee is brazenly calling for a revolution to overturn the election on their .org website. "It's 1776 all over again!" It's fucking crazy is what it is. Just look at the brazen lies the right media outlets and some of the congresspeople are saying since the events of the other day. Painting people who confessed on camera who they were, as Antifa. The guy who put his feet on the desk? A leader of a pro-gun group in Arkansas,a semi-public figure. Nope, OMG he's a fascist Antifa member!!! A fucking West Virginia elected official! Villainizing the woman who was killed, who was a Trump supporter (I expressed my thoughts on that above), we know who these people are, they're real people, you can't, or at least shouldn't in any sane world be able to, fabricate a bogeyman out of real people who were there proudly as who they were. It is a brazen and disgusting lie, and that should tell you what these people are capable of. Why would you believe

It's sedition and it's insurrection and this is how democracies die. Republican politicians riding on this wave for power should be fucking ashamed of themselves. This has gone way beyond stoking divisions to confuse the people and stop them noticing what they're stealing from them. Every news outlet around the world is reporting on this as America's democracy being in serious doubt, a violent insurrection, and it's not because the whole world is in on the plot to demonize Trump...
it's because that's what it is. The only people that don't think that's what it is are a large collection of brainwashed Americans who adore Trump like some sort of god in the face of overwhelming proof to the contrary. This is a dark time in this country's history and whether or not Trump and his hangers-on and his adoring congregation succeed in this insurrection or fail, Trump is certainly going to at least retrospectively (but most Americans already think this, I assure you) be known as the worst and most traitorous president in the history of this country. People are going to study this in 50 years and say "how could people have possibly supported this?" He has done more to undermine our democratic system than any president before. He (and Rudy "trial by combat" Giuliani) fucking incited a mob to march against the capitol to stage a revolution and take back control of the government that they lost because the majority of Americans were sick of this bullshit. I used to think there might be a point at which Trump fans might finally realize that enough is enough, and wake the fuck up, but I don't think there is anymore. There is no bottom.

They should be glad it's not actually 1776 all over again because there'd be a bunch of hangings happening right now (I'm talking about the politicians complicit in this and pushing for this). Instead nobody is doing anything, just sitting around with their thumbs in their asses. We've been spoiled too long, nothing is real to anyone anymore, we think this could never actually happen. This shit is real and "some people" have been actively enabling this for the past 5 years. Turns out we didn't need anyone else to destroy us, we were able to do it ourselves.
I have to believe we can come back from this but it's gonna be hard.
Please if everyone could just direct their anger towards the politicians committing treason, instead of other people who are just pawns in this game, that would really help.
