I think I'm laughing harder at myself for the ever-so-slow processing of this than I am at the actual joke. I had to scroll up and down to read it as the image is too big for my browser, and all the while, I'm wondering who-t-f that guy is because he looks familiar, but he is in B&W, and why would be he be saying...wait what are the words?
Slow day for TLB.
If you do all the reading you'll realize somewhere around DPRK they're releasing a bunch of freon and damaging the ozone layer; they are theorizing they are poorly taking care of old-school equipment, etc and there is a noticeable impact. I never saw follow up articles.Keep in mind, acid rain and ozone depletion were dealt with because we implemented policies such as banning CFCs and establishing cleaner emissions standards, in response to evidence that we needed to take action. If we hadn't taken action, we'd still have acid rain, gigantic smog problems in urban areas (like China and India have now and like NYC/Chicago/etc had in the 80s, with people getting sick), and the ozone would still be depleting instead of restoring. Also we have found so much more oil than we knew about back in the day and developed fracking to obtain oil from areas that we previous thought it was unobtainable in. Memes like this only serve to cause people to feel okay with inaction.
I don't usually reply to memes in here since I know they're not necessarily reflecting the beliefs of the poster but shit like this meme just reinforce attitudes that are harmful and other people see this stuff besides us.
false premise, because since people come only in discrete amounts, there can never be enough people to allocate one to every real number. good thing cantor is already dead to spare him the outrage over this
