You won’t be able to cope with it. At least not in my opinion. That is one of the major reasons why people are so hateful of this medication. You’ve just signed yourself up for at least 9 months of complete Hell. Have fun.
That's my brother, you need to cut the negativity, he has taken invega for years now because he feels it actually helps him. Invega is hell for people who were forced on it. Like me. I was forced to take it when I didn't need it so I despise that shit. But I also support the patients right to choose, which isn't valued in America at all

There seem to be a number of long-acting AP's that cause these problems. I suffered from muscle rigidity and/or stiffness from Vraylar. The Vraylar website says to get help from the ER right away, but my doctor said nothing about this. In my experience, the muscle rigidity has mostly gone away to the point where I can walk up hills again and stretch my back if I need to. Vraylar's active components are different though. The muscle rigidity mostly doesn't last while the medication is in it's state of efficacy. (it takes several months for Vraylar to begin working whereas Invega Sustenna begins working right away. Afterwards, Vraylar goes through it's period of efficacy where the active metabolite takes over most of the function until withdrawal begins; in which case, symptoms from initial entry into the system are reintroduced until the medication is mostly eliminated.)

How would you describe the stiffness or rigidity? Active or passive or both?

When a doctor measures stiffness, rigidity, or spasticity they do so passively, in that they grab the persons arm or leg and move it and witness and feel the resistance. In my case and the case of another the stiffness/rigidity is what I call “active” meaning you have to move the body oneself to notice that the lower body, trunk, legs are stiff and resistant to movement. Passively there doesn’t seem to be rigidity or stiffness.

If anyone is dealing with muscle stiffness or rigidity or gait problems please message me or post I’m actively trying to find a solution and it would be good to work together
hello I am also dealing with muscle stiffness, rigidity, and movement disorder, ever since the injection, when I did not have those problems beforehand.

I'm not sure. Maybe a little bit of both. My legs used to get stiff or rigid if I walked up hills. The steeper, the worse. But on another hand, my back showed signs of rigidity from just turning my shoulders one way or the other to stretch my back. It felt so weird it was like the muscles were getting tangled over one another and took a while to go back "into place".

I’m trying this remedy that Yeshuah(Donnie) recommenced. I haven’t felt a difference yet but I’m really losing hope at this point. It was 2018 when I started to feel this way we are in 2020 now.
Don't lose hope, I have a way for u to get your life back even better then pre-invega!!!! I have taken invega sustenna and also abilify maintena and I know what to do that no matter what I would be successful in life.

And if you study the United States of America law(written law) is actually a good law.but the doctors don't follow it or even the judge

Hey have you found others? Is it progressive? I will private message you.

I’m listening. Tell me more about how I can recover

Invega treated my psychosis but the side effects were too much. I'm going to seek a better medication or be med free. Invega is affecting my creativity and productivity.

I think I lost my inner voice/monologue from antipsychotics, i made a thread about it. i was on invega in 2018 and clopixol last year among other ones. another member mentioned cabergoline as an antidote to antipsychotics, that my thoughts will come back and it stops anhedonia which i think i might have. its a dopamine agonist.
that user said re: cabergoline '
you will experience increase in ability to enjoy music, start speaking fastly, urge/enjoyment in exploring things like internet, science etc..
add to that fast racing thoughts, you will start thinking in many things in the sametime, this will depelate you atentional prformance whice will lead to the "H" is ADHD
attention deficit hyperactivity disorder => hyperactivity'

does anyone have any experience with this or think it might work? cant find any info online about it

I have tried cabergoline. Dopamine agonists would help if you had a disorder which resulted in chronic dopamine issues. However, when recovering from invega it will slow down the recovery process. Fastest way to recover is to drink plenty of water and self care. I know it sounds rough. That's because it is. I'm so sorry.

but if antipsychotics block dopamine and cabergoline activates dopamine receptors then it should do the opposite to antipsychotics?

From personal experience, the dopamine agonists only help with the sexual side effects. They don't really do much for anhedonia or movement disorders. The invega is way too overpowering. But everyone's brain chemistry is different. Maybe things will be better for you, than that were for me. It'll be difficult to get medical opinion too because in America it's not politically correct to talk about your choice to taper off psych meds.

Thank you for listening. What I’m going to say to you may not make sense but you just at least hear me out.1st you have to learn to activate your subconscious/unconscious mind that is least related to your conscious mind. Which it’s some sort of very very complex meditation which can be easily misinterpreted.im not crazy, and right now I’m in abilify maintena and still saying this. You need to learn to think differently then other people . It’s like living in a different/better world and it’s fun.WHILE ON INVEGA SUSTENNA. what I said right now is that u probably still don’t understand and some of you may call that delusional psychotic. Im saying we just have to meet up in order to understand what I’m saying which even that may still take a lot of time because there’s a lot of things you need to understand about meditation in order for you to be successful even better then pre-invega. So it’s up to you. And have hope while it’s still it’s depressing . Email me in [email protected]

Guys recovery is possible. I've been on and off with the Invega in the past few years and I have pretty much fully recovered whenever I went off it for a year.

Hello all. If you have recovered. Is there anyway I can speak with you via Skype. I just want to ask some questions on your recovery.
