The SEX ALLEGATIONS Megathread

It's almost as if the government is not serious about going after pedos and traffickers..

Obama made some event a while ago pledging to go after the global trafficking problem. Part of the bill he introduced made the minimum punishment for child sex trafficking a $5,000 fine.

^ such a short post and yet so full of inaccuracies and bias...

obama did not introduce the bill. it was sponsored by republican john cornyn. obama signed it into law. the bill did provide for a fine for those involved in trafficking - and i agree with you that it seems weak. but it's better than nothing which is what there was before the law. also, the law did a lot more that that - it provided funding to provide resources for victims. with obama's signature, for the the first time federal law addressed human trafficking.

curious that you'd choose to mischaracterise this issue this way.

tl;dr: it's not truth, as ever

and i agree with you that it seems weak. but it's better than nothing
That's my point it shouldn't be weak it should be treated seriously.

Trump so far has signed at least 2 EOs focusing on combating trafficking.

And in terms of comparing pedo/trafficking arrest numbers, good luck even attempting to compare figures between Obama & Trump.
I suggest you peruse a multitude of sources as well before doing so. I've seen first-hand in the media (local outlets, never national/cable) how many busts are occurring.

Did you see the group in SF that was on the street protesting ICE while ICE was inside breaking up a human trafficking operation?

trump stated that (obama's) use of executive orders made him a weak leader. he said (in january 2016): "We have a president that can’t get anything done, so he just keeps signing executive orders all over the place."

trump has signed more eos than any president in the last 50 years so at least we agree that he is a weak leader and can't get anything done?

Off-topic.

Bourdain calls Bill Clinton “entitled, rapey, gropey, grabby, disgusting” in new interview conducted months before his death
https://popula.com/2018/07/15/bourdain-confidential/

Bill Clinton, look, the bimbo eruptions—it was fucking monstrous. That would not have flown today. A piece of shit. Entitled, rapey, gropey, grabby, disgusting, and the way that he—and she—destroyed these women and the way that everyone went along, and, and are blind to this! Screamingly apparent hypocrisy and venality. How you can on the one hand howl at the moon about all these other predators. And not at least look back. OK, let’s say, well, it was all consensual: powerful men, starstruck women, okay fine, let’s accept it at its most charitable interpretation. Fine. He is a very charming man, I met him, he’s fucking magnetic.

it's not off-topic at all but thanks for memberating.

that you can't/won't answer speaks volumes. one rule for trump, another for everybody else...

It is off-topic, I brought up the EOs relating to human trafficking. You could have looked into them and discussed the merits/downsides but instead chose to play whataboutism.
To answer your question I wouldn't call him a weak leader but that did turn out to be a hypocritical thing to say. Impeachment-worthy? Not quite.

who said it was impeachment worthy? that's an odd non-sequitor.

i'll agree i'm guilty of whataboutism in this specific instance but i learned it from you - the master of butwhataboutclintonism!

:)

=D

But yeah, what about how Trump claimed that using executive orders made Obama weak, before Trump became president and signed the most executive orders of any president in recent history? I realize that's off-topic too but I would enjoy seeing how you rationalize that one away.

This makes me very sad because I don't want anything to happen to that brilliant show.

I would not be surprised if he is a pedo since the film, television, and entertainment biz have been a safe haven for child/teen sex abusers for many decades. It's not only the United States that is like this either.

what are your thoughts on the paedophilia accusation against donald trump?
or trump-associated people like roy moore?

i would have assumed that if a cartoon show is tainted because the person who created it was a sex offender, that paedophiles serving in powerful positions would most likely be held to a similar (if not higher) standard.

in any case, i find it really interesting that people who fixate on the child sex rings that supposedly amongst rich and/or famous/powerful groups, yet an accused paedophile was backed by trump in alabama.

i can't help but also wonder how many of the people who got themselves worked up about 'pizzagate' also spoke out condemning the brutal US government policies that were separating immigrant children from their parents.
that's a hypothetical question - or just a musing - because i'd imagine there are probably a few people who love trump, but overlook his history of (alleged) sexual abuse. that would be harder for some people than others.

the point i'm getting at, however, is that it doesn't seem to be too difficult for people to overlook alleged sex crime - especially if the person being accused is a "celebrity", and you don't have to look too hard to find plenty of examples of artists who were (allegedly?) into underage sex (consensual or not - from elvis and jerry lee lewis to michael jackson....and plenty of others in various 'showbiz' capacities.

Harvey Weinstein paws #MeToo accuser in video

Footage shows film mogul appearing to proposition and repeatedly stroking the arm of Melissa Thompson who says he raped her afterwards

A video of Harvey Weinstein shows him appearing to proposition and repeatedly stroking the arm of a woman who later accused him of rape.

Melissa Thompson, who sued Weinstein in June, said she made the recording, shown by Sky News, while demonstrating video technology for the movie mogul at his New York City office in 2011.

Weinstein is seen on the video rejecting a handshake from Thompson and then hugging her instead and rubbing her back. He touches her shoulder as they sit side by side in front of her laptop computer.

At one point he tells her: ?Let me have a little part of you. Can you give it to me??

Also there's been this ex-actor named Isaac Kappy, who over the last month has been livestreaming and said he was overcome with the desire to blow the whistle on Hollywood.
He was close friends with Seth Green and he has stated that Green and his wife Clare are pedophiles.
He is also loudly outing Tom Hanks & Steven Spielberg as pedophiles. So far nobody has pressed charges against him or sued for defamation (which leads to discovery).

Priests Produced Child Pornography on Church Property, Pennsylvania Grand Jury Report States
http://fortune.com/2018/08/14/pennsylvania-priests-child-pornography-grand-jury-report/

Among the horrific revelations of a 1,356-page Pennsylvania grand jury report that found more than 1,000 identifiable child victims were abused by over 300 Catholic priests, one stands out starkly: Priests allegedly used church property to produce child pornography.

With one priest, George Zirwas, the grand jury says his diocese knew of complaints starting in 1987 that he purportedly sexually abused children. Zirwas was shuffled among positions until he was placed on “personal leave” in 1995, which lasted until he was murdered in Havana, Cuba, in May 2001. The report claims Zirwas and three other priests created child pornography in parishes and rectories using whips, violence, and sadism while raping their victims.

Ex-Vatican official urges Pope Francis to resign over abuse case
https://www.news.com.au/world/europ...e/news-story/652bd63864744977b14b7bc4dfcb7e2d

A FORMER top-ranking Vatican official has come forward with shocking allegations about Pope Francis, accusing him of being complicit in covering up horrific abuses by the disgraced former archbishop of Washington, Theodore McCarrick, and urged Francis to step down.

In a letter, the retired ambassador to the United States, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano, accused senior Vatican officials of knowing as early as 2000 that McCarrick regularly invited seminarians into his bed but was made a cardinal regardless.

Finally the Catholic Church is getting EXPOSED

Crikey. So many people involved in all this :\

Hope I'm wrong but this is still just the tip of the iceberg.

WATCH: Arizona Democratic Senate Candidate Kyrsten Sinema Fought To Protect Criminals Caught With Child Prostitutes, Took Major Money From Founders Of Sex Trafficking Website
https://www.dailywire.com/news/35797/watch-arizona-democratic-senate-candidate-kyrsten-ryan-saavedra

Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema fought to protect criminals who had sex with child prostitutes and later took tens of thousands of dollars from the founders of an alleged sex trafficking website.

The revelation of Sinema's disturbing views was made in an ad targeting her that recently aired which showed her downplaying the seriousness of child prostitution because, according to her, "some of these children look older than me."

Local Arizona media fact-checked the ad and found that it was true and also found that Sinema’s defense of her voting record was misleading.

'60 Minutes' honcho Jeff Fager out at CBS, network claims exit 'not directly related' to sex misconduct allegations
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...ly-related-to-sex-misconduct-allegations.html

High-powered “60 Minutes” executive producer Jeff Fager is leaving CBS “effective immediately” amid sexual misconduct allegations, but the network said his abrupt exit is not directly related to the claims made against him by Pulitzer Prize-winner Ronan Farrow in The New Yorker.

“Jeff Fager is leaving the company effective immediately,” said CBS News president David Rhodes in a memo to staffers, which was quickly circulated to media reporters Wednesday.....

.....Les Moonves resigned his position as CBS's CEO on Sunday after at least 12 women came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct in a pair of New Yorker articles authored by Farrow. But Moonves wasn’t the only CBS honcho named, and the spotlight was placed firmly on Fager once Moonves was shown the door.

“A number of the women also said that Moonves retaliated after they rebuffed him, damaging their careers,” Farrow wrote. “Similar frustrations about perceived inaction have prompted another woman to raise a claim of misconduct against Jeff Fager.”

Back in July, Farrow cited 19 current and former staffers who alleged that Fager “allowed harassment in the division,” while six former staffers accused him of inappropriate touching. The latest allegation against Fager comes from Sarah Johansen, a former CBS intern who told Farrow that the “60 Minutes” executive producer groped her at a work party.

So, are you implying that the current lack of lawsuit suggests a fear of 'discovery' (and somehow implies guilt)? Equally, you could argue that the fact that all this guy is doing is 'livestreaming' implies 'lack of evidence'. Is there any specifically relating to the people you are throwing mud at here?
