The 2018 Trump Presidency thread

Trump drained some of the swamp, only to fill it with his own murky, stinking water. Are you still going to claim that Trump appointed shitty people to positions of influence so they could have a chance at redemption, like you once claimed (paraphrasing)?

NATO Chief Credits Trump with Increased Member Funding - Trump Points to Media, "They Won?t Report This"
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...o-media-they-wont-report-this-video/President

Trump once again attacked our NATO allies during a Wednesday morning breakfast with the current Secretary General of the NATO Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg.
At one point Secretary General Stoltenberg credited Trump for increased spending by alliance members.
The president's response was classic Trump.

President Trump: It's a very small amount of money to what they owe and to what they should be paying. And it's an unfair burden on the United States. So we?re here to talk about that and I?m sure it will be resolved.
Secretary General Stoltenberg: We all agree that we have to do more. But also we've seen the biggest increase in defense spending - in a generation.
President Trump: Why was that last year?
Secretary General Stoltenberg: It's also because of your leadership and your message.
President Trump (pointing to liberal media): They won't write that but that's OK.

Trump Blasts NATO Allies in Tense Exchange, Says: "Germany Is Totally Controlled by Russia" (VIDEO)
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...ermany-is-totally-controlled-by-russia-video/

President Trump said it is not fair to American taxpayers that Germany buys oil and gas from Russia while enjoying the umbrella of defense provided by U.S. dollars. ?Germany is a captive of Russia,? he said, pointing out that the country pays "billions and billions of dollars" to a Russia for energy.Trump said that was "inappropriate." He added: "Germany is a rich country."
NATO countries agreed to send 2% of GDP to the defense alliance.
Trump has consistently attacked NATO countries for coming short on their promises.

How is that in any way unreasonable?
Countries that have pledged a certain amount of $ must pay it especially if the US is paying and also protecting them.
And if Russia is indeed an extremely dangerous threat to the US, then why is Germany supporting them? Were our allies purchasing goods from NK?
It's the same as when Turkey was buying oil from Daesh. Obvious conflict of interest that counters the establishment narrative.

Would you have known what the Sec General said about Trump if I didn't tell you?

Your stance on Russia really confuses me. Sometimes you seem to consider them a threat and an enemy, and sometimes it's the exact opposite.

Nice to see trump making a fucking ass of himself in the uk.

Much respect to everyone making him feel unwelcome. I love the baby blimp =D

Also, i hope that inviting this despicable galoot to the UK blows up in May's face and is the final nail in the coffin of her already shaky government.

No I consider them a potential ally.
When I make statements like this, I am pointing out the hypocrisy of certain people (usually on the Left).

The narrative at the moment (in order to attack Trump) is that: Trump is a stooge of Russia, Russia is guilty of subverting US democracy, Russia wants to expand and invade its neighbors, Russia is bent on global domination, be scared of Russia, Russia Russia Russia. (Lol at Peter Strzok saying his grilling before Congress "was a win for Putin")

However when we look at the facts and actions of certain people, this entire story falls apart:
Obama/Clinton oversaw a deal that gave Putin US uranium, a material used to make nuclear weapons that threaten the very existence of the US (conflict of interest).
Money went from the DNC to MI6 Steele to Russian government officials for opposition research on Trump - which isn't illegal, but when we're framing things through the accepted narrative, for eg. any meeting with Russians = collusion (like the Veselnitskaya meeting where nothing even changed hands), then the Fusion GPS "pee pee dossier" becomes an example of Democrat/Russia "collusion". Money went from the Clinton campaign to the Russian government for incriminating information on an opposing candidate. PROVEN, not conspiracy theories, yet somehow Trump is the colluder.....
Trump authorized selling more weapons to the Ukrainian government - unexpected behavior by an alleged Russian agent (I've heard people say Trump allowed this as a smokescreen)
Then we come to Germany buying resources from Russia - if Russia is a dangerous, expansionist dictatorial regime run by a madman, THEN WHY WOULD OUR ALLIES SUPPORT THEM.

It doesn't take a whole lot of analysis to see where the official story falls off the rails.

RE: UK. I thought the "Baby Khan" idea was a nice reply.
Also what's the big deal about Trump? UK recently hosted Erdogan and Saudi Prince, one regime holds the record for jailing journalists and another was executing gay people.

Germany buys from Russia because Russia has it and they're next door neighbors. yes, it supports them, but it's also crucial for Germany, so it's not the same as "our allies supporting them". It's more a matter of necessity.

Russia IS trying to expand. Not so long ago, Russia was the USSR and was methodically assimilating other countries and creating an empire, and we were engaged in a covert struggle against them that dominated the world's thoughts and fears for decades. When the USSR broke apart and the Cold War officially ended, many countries chose to regain their own independence from Russia... since then, Russia has been reaching back towards some of them and trying to regain ground and succeeded in some cases.

I'm just saying... you have such a huge problem with "uranium one", but if Russia isn't a dangerous, expansionist dictatorial regime, and is a potential ally, and is, as you seem to characterize it often, less dangerous than the US in recent times, why would you have a problem with us selling them uranium? When we still have the most nuclear weapons? Shouldn't they have it instead of us, if they're benign? And at the point we're at, with thousands owned already by both of us, what difference does it even make if they have more? If we launch 2000 nukes and Russia launches 4000 nukes, everyone is still just as dead. The entire premise as "OMG dems are so corrupt because of this" makes no sense. However, if you believe that Russia interfered with our elections, well, that's not very ally-like, at all.

Basically I'm saying I don't buy Russia being benign towards us here. So anyone working towards helping them with their goals towards us is a traitor. If Obama did it, he's a traitor. If Hilary did it, she's a traitor. If Trump did it/is doing it, he's a traitor. But he'd also still be doing it so it's rather important that we figure it out ASAP.

The baby blimp is hilarious. My girlfriend and I were working out yesterday evening and the news was on, and we saw that and cracked up. =D

Nice to see trump making a fucking ass of himself in the uk.

I still laugh about his comment "I think they like me!"

He probably has no idea how much all of his ex-wives + Melania despise his touch.

UK recently hosted Erdogan and Saudi Prince, one regime holds the record for jailing journalists and another was executing gay people.

This is a decent point; they are both vile human beings. I don't think I've ever agreed with you on anything before.

This just in: why open boarders makes sense...

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/11/nyregion/de-blasio-border-crossing-immigration-mexico.html

Yeah, let's arrest and charge a rich billionaire who took $$$ hand outs from Trump for illegally trying to come back into the US, even though he's a citizen!

This is insane. It shouldn't be a crime to come BACK to the US as a citizen, no matter how you get here. WTF? When will the D's and R's wake up and see how stupid this is?

Blasio is a moron and deserves to go to jail over this, though. Fucking Trump collaborators are dumb as shit. lol @ "democrat". Sure. All billionaires are pretty much automatically Republicans in my mind. NYC is a shit hole country, and perhaps he could have made NYC better instead of going to the Mexican boarder, because, you know, NYC is not close by.
