But srsly though I'm not criticizing him or anything, if it works for him and he's content I guess let it be

It's just my opinion but I feel like you could have so much of a better life without being dependent on an opiate, of any kind
It just holds you back so much, well I think anyway

While I do somewhat agree, methadone sure beats the hell out of using dope every day. It's less harsh on your liver, as well as your veins & nostrils. You also aren't getting any cut so that's an improvement as well. Methadone certainly isn't the best option in my opinion, but it does work for some. Methadone is just too long term for some people, they can't handle the responsibility it comes with having to go every day, but some people don't have the option of suboxone either.

But once an addict always an addict. Even if you trade your heroin habit for something healthy, there will always be some type of addiction to take up all your free time, even if it's bicycling, reading, eating, cocaine, anything. The mental addiction is hard to break and what usually causes people to get back in the habit of the actual physical addiction.
 
Lol I said that same shit..for me it was weed and shopping..new shoes, jeans, hats, watches you name it..

But I do see the big picture..like you said done is costing you a lot less and all that but its just my opinion..I know someone who totaled 2 cars coming home from the clinic, one time he hit a cop car..he's now dead from an OD..it is better then heroin but not much.

just wait till you dont feel shit from methadone and you start to bump your doses up. eventually you'll despise going to the clinic to take a gulp full of water that does nothing but if you dont take it you will be sick as fuck. dead end road.
 
Yeah ive been on done for almost two years.
Ive been lowering my dose cause being on that shit after awhile gets to you man its hard to explain.
Dude when i first went on it i was like this shit is gods gift after 10 years of slamming dope ive found something that works for me after awhile tho it really does make you a shell like they are saying. Yeah i gained so much weight was pretty nuts.

TRM just dont go to high of a dose cause it will take you forever to taper off and the W/Ds do suck so bad.

shit the coke thing is so fucking true since i have a lot of cash now i spend it on yay!

I actually don't know why we call it blows..never even thought about it and I'm disappointed I never have cause that's normally something I would do..I've been yelled at more then once about askin too many questions.

No clue why Chicago is the only place that calls dope blows, and it definitely is kinda weird hearing people call it that.
 
why do they call individual bags decks in the nj area?

If anything I would think a bundle would be called a deck
 
^ I've seen the term decks in the newspapers here when talking about drug busts, but never heard it in person. I'm not sure if that's the case in NJ too.

about 10 years ago (or more), was out looking for coke and these crazy people took me to cabrini green and got me some "blows"- and I'm thinking it's "blow". All of a sudden I was like - "everyone OUT OF MY HOUSE!" I Uma Thurman-ed that fucker and was in the bathroom for about 12 hours... Never did dope or "blows" before... but they still call it that to this day.
 
First time I did dope I did a single bag and went right to sleep after..I didn't touch it again for at least 5years..I was in highschool and my buddy got into it and he started gettin people to try it..thank god I didn't like it then..I had less will power back then and wij peer pressure I would prolly be dead or in jail..hell I should have already been dead or in jail before I got a dope habit.

Good lawyers are key..even though I've oy been arrested for weed (6x..maybe 7, I don't even remember) and attempted theft and minor in possession of alcohol..I'm prolly the only person arrested for stealin a streey sign

i know the mexicans want tar. my people played middleman on a deal to a bunch of mexican gang bangers on a bunch of tar. they (my people) won't touch it otherwise.

I know for a fact that the mafia is still around. I think they mostly profit from gambling, deals with the city with fake companies or companies that don't actually work, overbill, etc. (one of the big news items of the past few years was "the hired truck scandal" - trucks would show up at road construction sites and guys would leave, sleep, smoke, play cards, etc. and nothing got hauled.)

If they ARE involved in drugs at all it is at the highest importer/wholesale level. Because the heroin here is pretty much run by some black people, and I know they get a bunch of it from Memphis. Funny story for you Bill:

Over by where I live there's an area my cop uncle calls "The Patch"- where Joey "The Clown" Lombardo lived and a whole bunch of other mob guys still live right on the edge of a crap neighborhood called Humboldt Park. I had a boyfriend who lived over there last winter and after/during the first big snowstorm we had last year, his street was one of the first to get plowed. I was shocked. There's a couple of "members only neighborhood associations" (really bars with weird hours and hookers and gambling and you are NOT allowed to go there) and a couple of really big crazy houses with high stone walls that have that "Mediterranean" look in the middle of all the two/3 flat brownstones.
