Suboxone Opiate block time, if only taken once

I took 8mg of suboxone, the little strips. I only took one today for the first time in years. I now have 30 mg of oxycodone. I wanna try taking them in the morn witch would put me about 21 hours since I took the suboxone, will I feel anything? and can I drink alcohol since I took the suboxone?
 
It varies from person to person - at 21 hours you are likely to still get some blockage from the suboxone, yes. Most people need to leave it over 24 hours, I need at least 36 really to get the full effects from another opioid.

8mg suboxone is also equivalent to more than 30mg oxy.. you might feel it but the effects are likely to be reduced.

Mixing CNS depressants is risky and can be fatal. Without knowing your tolerance it's hard to say what is safe and what isn't, but I wouldn't risk it especially if you haven't had Suboxone in years. You don't want to end up overdosing..
 
The overdose Im not worried about, 2 days before the suboxone dose I took 120mg of oxycontin, then I could only get 20 mg of percocet. I was feeling a little sick is why I took the sub, because I was at work. I figured I would get a little blockage but since I havnt taken it in so long I figured the blockage would be reduced more since my system isnt soaked with suboxone. Is it safe to drink on it. I took it at 10am and its 9pm now?
 
We can never say "yes it is definitely safe to drink alcohol with your opioids"... Suboxone is no more risky than other opioids mixed with alcohol, I can say that much, but it will still be in your system at this point for sure. A little bit of alcohol might be fine but we can't make guarantees and as alcohol impairs your judgement it would be easy to drink a lot more than you intended, which could be very dangerous.

The blockade will be in just as much effect now as it would be if you took Suboxone regularly (except that with the long half life it can accumulate slightly with long term use) - you might feel the oxycodone tomorrow, but I would bet the effects will still be reduced I am afraid..
 
If you took 8mg of buprenorphine not even 24 hours ago, the effect from 30mg of oxycodone will be severly diminished.
 
I figured it would be reduced, Im hoping to feel a little bit at least, I dont wanna feel shitty at work. I drank alot of water and was doing strenuous work. I dunno if you can flush any amount out of your body quicker than letting it run its course or not. would it matter if you did Iv or not, would that make a diffrence?
 
Not much difference I would say.. IV generally has a shorter duration as the drug is in your bloodstream immediately, meaning it is starting to be removed immediately, rather than waiting for it to be absorbed - but as IV buprenorphine has a higher bioavilability than sublingual, you're getting more drug into your bloodstream, which will take longer to remove..

You can't flush it out any faster I am afraid, you just have to let it run it's course..
 
Yea I just ate the suboxone, i was talking of doing the Oxycodone Iv they are the little 5mg ones that have no tylenol, I have 6 of them
 
IVing oxycodone isn't worth it in my opinion - it has a really high oral bioavailability so you don't get much extra from it, and it doesn't give any rush for most people.. shooting pills is risky, fillers/binders can accumulate in your lungs and cause a lung disease called pneumoconiosis. If you are going to do it, please use a micron filter to filter out all the nasty crap :)

Really though, I don't think shooting oxycodone is worth the risk as you don't get much benefit compared to just eating it...
 
damn id didnt know that, Ive been doing it for years with all kinds of pills, morphine, hydromorpfone, percs, oxycontin ect. I always use cotton to filter though. Ive had a few times with the morph make me feel really cold where im shivering even though the heats on and give me one hell of a headache. That has only happened when Ive iv'd alot during the course of the day.

well I took 20mg this morning, I felt them a tiny bit in my body but definatley no euphoric head feeling, did two more at like 100pm and felt those more but definate blockage still going on. I figured hell with it Id try anyway. Definatley gonna get some of those micron filters though.
 
I can drink on Suboxone but I don't reccomend anybody else do it.... Also... Oxy 30mgs? You expect to feel that? Sub makes my tolerance get higher... If I take 30mg of oxy after sub even the next day.. I wont get high but I will not be "sick"....I will also feel pain relief...
 
I've done something pretty similar, almost the exact thing. Didn't take a sub for over a year, took one because I was sick..then the next day I did my usual 30mg oxycodone (IV) & it was completely blocked by the sub . :/ i'd wait as long as you can if i was you . hope this helped! if it was a smaller amount of suboxone..you might be fine, but i would wait if i were you . you don't want to end up wasting your stash because you'll end up getting pretty pissed over it! good luck!
