Yes, yes and no. The latter is in the backdoor not the background. Schoolboy error... and one he never forgot

(third prezzie was the new e-cig under the monitor... and, for completion, other prezzies opened today include a bottle or Laphroaig, another glowing blue 'puter accessory in the form of a new control pad (cos my last one broke a couple weeks back) and a week of socks (urgently needed cos lawdy am I hard on socks ))

Thanks to all for well wishes, is much appreciated. Was actually the best b'day I've had in years so very happy all around. I think family life is starting to be my "thing"...

Pretty much. 1280 x 1024 apparently, and most likely of that vintage or so. It's fine for my purposes but will eventually be upgraded. It's pretty low on my list of priorities in all honesty though.

I remember going from a 14? crt monitor to a 21? crt (that weighed more than I did) and it was night and day.

Now I use a 47? 4K monitor at home and I couldn?t imagine going back to anything smaller. Funny how you adjust the screen real estate.

My cat used to sleep on top of my old 21" CRT monitor, so they were definitely good for something once, at one time, there in thee past n' that.
