Hello everyone,
I am a registered nurse and recently had started a job in a behavioral health unit. My specialty is a gerontological nursing, however, I am also going to spend some time in a detox unit and an addiction medicine unit.
Since I am a first generation immigrant, and don't like watching TV, I know too little about drug culture, and am not familiar with specific slang.
I just would like to read threads and maybe ask questions, which, of course, nobody is obligated to answer, in order to educate myself about the subject and to be able meet the needs of this specific group of patients.

Hello Busy Bee,

I respect your reason for coming to Bluelight so much and really do urge you to pose questions, regardless of how simple or bizarre you see them to be, because we are a very non-judgmental and by and large very helpful bunch . We even have a sub-forum specifically for Drug Culture !
