Stimulants Smoking Meth after Snorting primarily for 3 Months

For four months I've almost exclusively snorted when I've used Meth. Out of curiosity, I decided to get a bubble and try smoking. I took a couple hits and immediately noticed a few key differences.

Smoking definitely has a more euphoric, smooth feeling, which I enjoy sometimes if I'm not trying to go nuts.

I am concerned about dosing though. I've seen many people say "Just smoke until you feel high enough" which is cool, but I would prefer to be a little more prepared.

Generally I'll take enough small shards to cover the bottom of the bubble, when I smoke I'll take 4-5 slow, deep hits and am able to expel a plume of vapor with each one. However, I've found that even 6-7 drags doesn't quite seem to get me where I would like to be. Sometimes I'll wait a few minutes and take a few more.

I guess my biggest question is: would I be better to smoke more at once than smoke less and have to redose by taking a couple hits every little while? What do you all prefer?

Also, how the hell are some of you able to maintain this for 2-3 days at a time? I feel like I have to be doing something wrong, because even though I have almost never binged on it without sleep (though I have used it probably too many successive days in a row) It seems to lose any positive effect by the end of the first 24 Hours. Instead, I'm tense all over my body all of the sudden. A couple beers alleviates it though. Maybe it's just dehydration or the result of being alert/ without sleep for so long.

For the record, I'm asking these things not so I can binge often because I don't want to, but on the occasion that I actually do want to binge for a few days, these things are frustrating.

I'd personally rather "get there" to my desired level of high and ride it out, then chase mediocrity all day long. Then if you're coming down and need a hit, take a hit to get back up there.

In regards to a binge, i have never gotten tense all over my body, unless i've been crouched over my computer all morning watching porn. I think the key to staying up (not sure this is quite harm reduction, but) is to, again, ride out the high. Get blasted, let yourself come down, then blast off once more before you hit the ground.

But, i'm bipolar, so maybe i'm biased to somewhat enjoying, or, being able to cope with dramatic changes in mood.

No I think what you said definitely makes sense, and was kind of what my instinct has been telling me. To redose over and over instead of hitting it hard once or twice in a day, probably means you end up using more during that time in the long run because the frustration will drive you to do a little more, and a little more, etc.

As far as the tension, I'm not sure if it's anxiety related or legitimately related to being overamped, which I find doubtful because I don't use a physically huge amount in a day. I'm surprised you've never experienced that feeling though, it's kind of like you can't relax the muscles in your core like your abs and back. Very strange sensation.

Either way, what do you use as a measuring stick of "getting there", simply taking hits until you're satisfied with the feeling (I'm referring to smoking specifically)? I feel like I'm not speeding that bad, I am a little tense, but I don't want to overdo it and end up in a really bad spot, if that makes sense. I doubt this is simply a victim of tolerance, as I've only been using this substance for about 3-4 months.

Yes, i can't say i've felt that sensation before. But i have felt nauseous after a binge.

And meth tolerance builds very quickly, IIRC.

My measuring stick of being high enough is when i start to feel like i'm getting manic. In other words, when i start over talking, getting hyper-sexual, and generally feel extremely euphoric. I don't think after a couple hits you'll start rambling off and craving sex, but once you do you've hit the spot, IMO.

It's hard to be more specific than that. But the nice thing about smoking, is the onset is very quick, and it takes several doses to get up. So you have a pretty accurate gauge on how high you are/will become.

I appreciate all the feedback and knowledge, it gives me a good idea of how to cautiously go about achieving the level of stimulation I?m looking for. If you don?t mind me asking, how often do you use? The only reason I ask is because I?ve been a daily user for about 4 months and so I?m just trying to get a feeling for how others using habits have affected tolerance, effectiveness, etc

I binge weekly, and have been for the past several months.

I have no doubt that your usage is causing tolerance problems.

No shit, I binge often too. It really stacks on a person, yet for some people like me tolerance dies with time. In 5 days I'm typically feeling better with my "shots" (Yes, I am an IV user in a smoker thread; I know). However, everyone is different and there is no guarantee that someones' dose/way of using will last forever. Time is the only realistic counter for tolerance, with every user having there own timeclock from past actions.
