Misc Connection kava kava (imao) with ssri

I would like to drink KavaKava. I take Fluoxetine (SSRI) at a dose of 10 mg. KavaKava two IMAO alkaloids taken together 1-3%.
kava drink 20-30 g. These Alkaloids for Desmethoxyyangonin and dihydromethysticin.

They belong to the SIN table. SSRI with IMAO is in red in the table. Is this a Moklobemid website or all of them? Because it happened to me to drink tea, Yerba mate or currant juice which are also light Imao and nothing bad happened. Are these on the strong enough IMAO in this KavaKava that there is a real threat to Serotonine Syndrom ?

Honestly I am not 100% sure but I can share my experience with SS. Serotonin Syndrome for the most part is pretty rare, I’d say it is unlikely for most people to experience it. With that said however, You happen to take SSRI’s which will increase the chance of SS. Perhaps start at a low dose and go up. Use the search engine and look into it more before taking some perhaps or start with a low dose and work your way up if you’re worried about SS. I would be cautious combining SSRI’s with a whole host of substances. Also, maybe abstain from recreational drug use if you really do need them. Drugs will just make depression and anxiety worse.
