Can taking painkillers (4 pills a month) for an extended period (1 year) cause w/ds. Basically sporadically and never everyday or more than once a week.

No, probably not. It can however plant the seeds for a psychological addiction, which will undoubtably come with physical withdrawals, or at the very least mental distress.

People set rules for themselves, then they make an excuse to break the rule(s), they keep using those excuses until there are no rules left. It's possible to use sporadically, sure, but the more you use the riskier it gets to keep using.

Thank you for your response.Indeed it feels like playing with fire. And the rule thing is spot on, unfortunately...Only asking for reassurance, of course I do realize everyone is different.Been a week and no physical w/d only desire.
