Here's a place to post songs about drugs (i know, there are many).

Feel free to Bold the lyrics that stand out as "druggy" to you.

Have fun guys and gals.

I'll start:

Semi-charmed Life
- Three Doors Down

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tC1NR7AL_9s

I'm packed and I'm holding
I'm smiling, she's living
She's golden, she lives for me
She says she lives for me ovation, she got her own motivation
She comes 'round and she goes down on me
And I make her smile

It's like a drug for you

Do ever what you want to do
Coming over you
Keep on smiling, what we go through
One stop to the rhythm that divides you
And I speak to you like the chorus to the verse
Chop another line like a coda with a curse
Come on like a freak show takes the stage
We give them the games we play
She said
"I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life
Baby, baby
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Goodbye... "

Doot (x24)
The sky was gold, it was rose
I was taking sips of it through my nose

And I wish I could get back there
Some place back there
Smiling in the pictures you would take
Doing crystal meth
Will lift you up until you break

It won't stop, I won't come down
I keep stock
With a tick tock rhythm
A bump for the drop
And then I bumped up
I took the hit that I was given
Then I bumped again
Then I bumped again, she said
How do I get back there to
The place where I fell asleep inside you
How do I get myself back to
The place where you said
"I want something else
To get me through this
Semi-charmed kind of life
Baby, baby
I want something else
I'm not listening when you say
Goodbye... "

I believe in the sand beneath my toes
The beach gives a feeling
An earthy feeling
I believe in the faith that grows
And the four right chords could make me cry
When I'm with you I feel like I could die
And that would be all right

All right
And when the plane came in
She said she was crashing

The velvet it rips
In the city we're tripped
On the urge to feel alive

But now I'm struggling to survive
Those days you were wearing
That velvet dress
You're the priestess, I must confess
Those little red panties
They pass the test
Slides up around the belly
Face down on the matress
One, and you hold me
And we're broken
Still it's all that I want to do
Just a little now
I feel myself heavy on the ground
I'm scared I'm not coming down
No no
And I won't run for my life
She's got her jaws just locked now in a smile
But nothing is all right
All right
I want something else
To get me through this
Life... Baby, baby
I want something else
Not listening when you say
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye...

Doo (x24)

The sky was gold, it was rose
I was taking sips of it through my nose
And I wish I could get back there

Some place back there
In the place we used to sta-a-a-a-rt

Thank you and goodnight.

Anddd another one about meth.

Brain Stew - Green Day

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNq9gmY_Oz4

I'm having trouble trying to sleep
I'm counting sheep but running out

As time ticks by
And still I try
No rest for crosstops in my mind

On my own, here we go

My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed
Dried up and bulging out my skull
My mouth is dry
My face is numb
Fucked up and spun out in my room

On my own, here we go

My mind is set on overdrive
The clock is laughing in my face
A crooked spine
My senses dulled
Passed the point of delirium

On my own, here we go

My eyes feel like they're gonna bleed
Dried up and bulging out my skull
My mouth is dry
My face is numb
Fucked up and spun out in my room

On my own, here we go

too easy.... i listen to punk rock. i've managed to wean most of my listening to people explicitly singing about or in active addiction to hard drugs at the time of recording....

how about all of leftover crack? and crack rock steady in general, morning glory, choking victim, and other influenced bands who weren't in the CRS7 like no cash....

example lyrics when there is no hope i smoke some crack i shoot some dope (CV- 500 channels) of Drugs kill but its worth the thrill (NC-gasoline)

then a lot of folk punk.... Jesse Stewart in when you're gone who'se gonna smash the dope at my wake, days and daze (now recovered) - overlaying "I fucking hate you" and "You are my sunshine my only sunshine... you are my heroin" in little blue pills pt 2 is one of my favourite musical expressions of addiction. the entire pat the bunny arc- from active addiction to recovery.

melodic hardcore... as friends rust when i was only 14 or so i lived my life like it was over.... i miss smoking crack or how about the fucking immense addiction EP by betrayed- does that one even need explaining- that's recovery oriented though check out Understand but entire EP is fucking awesome

pop punk.... nofx 'six years on dope' and 'drugs are good'- do i even need to go onto the lyrics.... bigwig 'stops' Try to trick yourself and say, That you won't get high, But when the sirens call you, Your temptation will enthrall you

i've limited this to the subgenres i listen to and to songs that i rate as absolutely absurdly excellent in the hope that i might give you a taste for punk rock but this list took about 1 minute to come up with
