Hope this is okay to ask here. A specialist at the hospital prescribed me Imovane 2 weeks ago; I typically need a higher-than-prescribed dose for my chronic-illness related insomnia .. however, I don't want to seem like a drug seeker, so I don't mention this; I usually just take it as-needed, so 30 pills/month will last me until a repeat. However, I ended up going through them faster than I anticipated. I got a new script from my regular GP today (who doesn't know I saw the specialist). If I take this script to a different pharmacy (in Vic) will it be flagged at all, or will they not be able to know?

It's in a database so yes they can see what you have already been prescribed.

My friend is a pharmacist and I ask him questions all the time about various things.

In a database for that pharmacy chain or all pharmacies in Australia? When I googled some people said different pharmacies shouldn't be able to see your history at other chains.

This comes a little bit close to advice on doctor shopping, which isn't allowed here, so I am going to have to close the thread.
