Hello. I have been doing kratom for about three years straight. I drink a lot. I am one of those types that requires a larger amount for it to be effective. My question was this : Does it do any damage to the Kidneys? I ask this because I have been having weird pains and aches in my kidneys, mostly noticeable the last few years. This could be due to other things because I do not eat well and am out of shape. Also I drink way too many sodas. One good thing is that I do drink a lot of water, but that is besides the point.

Are there any notable risks of using Kratom long term? I find the benefits to be very substantial, and it is going to take a lot for me to consider quitting. If anything. I did try using the "search" function. Not only on here, but also on Google. I found a lot of nothing, but one thing I did find was that Kratom has vitamins and antioxidants. I found that to be pretty cool.

Any info or comments would be quite welcome. Or if you just wanna say hi, That is cool too.

Hi ya there SS. Yeah it's somewhat difficult to find any reliable information regarding Kratom and the fact that it's not regulated by anyone leaves the door open to poor farming practices with contaminants like pesticides. The largest area of concern regarding Kratom is in the extracts though, as they've been sampled and found to contain O-desmethylTramadol and varying levels of added 7-hydroxymytraginine, rarely 7-acetoxymitragynine.

Pubmed abstracts are a decent source of information seeing as reputable sources can be difficult to find, unfortunately if you want to get into the details you have to fork over money to but the full report. I'll be back if I find anything else good to add.

The kratom itself might also be covered in toxins or pesticides from Asia.

I had bladder problems that was likely caused by poly drug abuse ...mainly dissociatives which are know to cause bladder issues. Regarding kratom I will tell you it was the most painful drug on my bladder next to the dissociatives themselves. Regular opioids caused no pain.

Maybe get yourself checked out by a doctor at least once. You know just to make sure you are not about to die a sudden or slow and painful death by organ failure.
