mg distribution in a pill

Ive always wondered how the miligrams of a pill are distributed in it. For example, 1mg alprazolam (footballs), would it be like 0.5mg each half of the pill? sorry if this is a dumb question its just a legit curiosity I have

If it can be broken in parts then the active ingredient must be distributed in homogenous way so that each part has same amount of active ingredient (+-10% ).

Unless it's a special formula for extended release the pill is going to have the drug evenly distributed, ie. if you broke off 1/4 of the pill there would be 1/4 of the total amount of drug in it.
