I had surgery and I?m on pain Mgmt. I normally take 3 Roxie?s a day and a 24hr hydrocodone (Hysingla) extended release for every 24hrs. I had my surgery and they told me to continue my same pain management but add 4 mg of dilauded every 4 to 6 hours. I ended up in the hospital a day after surgery ( which was outpatient) because I got no relief at all from any of those. So what they found worked was small dose of Ativan, Demerol 100mg every 4 to 6 hours, and continue on Roxies. But my surgeon wanted me to talk to my pain specialist after I got out of the hospital. He wanted to make sure that that combination would help through the duration of my recovery. So I don?t end up in the hospital again for pain management. Mind you this surgery was outpatient and I return back to the hospital a day later with uncontrollable pain. I?m not gonna lie, sometimes when I take my regular pain regiment it makes me feel good, more outgoing and relaxed & happy. The pain days that are best for me is when my meds react that way, i?m not sure why it doesn?t always feel that way, I guess it could be something I eat or don?t eat that day which is the cause for the different reaction on the same meds . No one told me to stop taking the Ativan when I was prescribed Valium, but I did anyway. So now I?m taking the Valium and Roxies and Demerol. When the pain subsides, which I expect in another couple of days to a week, I?ll have some extra meds. Effect I would love to get (more of) is The affect I get with the Roxie?s when I?m on my normal pain mgmt which I mentioned above. , I was wondering if I can use one or more of those drugs to potentiate the effects of the Roxie?s when the pain subsides, which I expect in a couple of days to a week. I?ll have some extra meds. I was wondering if I can use one or more of those drugs (dilaudid, Valium, Ativan femoral) to potentiate the effects of the Roxies. Like if I take dilauded with Roxie?s would that help? My biggest fear is that is a lot of drugs to try to combine and try to see which one makes me feel the Roxies the most. So I ask you, as harm reduction, which ones are safe to try together to get that high affect from Roxie?s- I could try and see with various combinations, but that?s too big of a risk! I don?t want to OD accidentally, but I will and I do want to experiment.

Honestly we don't give out advice on how to use pain meds to get the best recreational effect. I will say that in my experience, I get the most out of my oxy IR 30's when I can cut down for a couple days and let my tolerance wane. You're taking one hefty combination of meds and to try to give you advice on what you can "safely" take to synergize with the other meds is irresponsible. There are a ton of variables that would need to be answered to even begin to answer that question.

You're correct that experimenting wildly with what you have is dangerous. My advice would be to get through the healing stage of this before deciding to have at it with meds that were given to you for severe pain. It's incredibly difficult for most people, even those in great pain to obtain a combination like that amidst this so called "opioid crisis". For karma sake please respect them for their intended purpose till you are completely in the clear & well, when it won't take a handful of three classes of highly scheduled meds to get off. Wait till you're on far less meds vs pushing the envelope of what your body can handle for a buzz. I hope you heal from this quickly. Good Luck & Stay Safe.

Further Speculation on this is not HR
